I absolutely love summer. And this girl is out enjoying one of the best days of the season as she draws on her blanket in the park. She lays out all afternoon until the sun sets and the first stars come out in the sky.

I was wondering the other day just what happens when you make a wish. And I imagined this over-tired Wish Fairy visits your house and offers you a cupcake. When you blow out the candle, she grants your wish. May all of your wishes come true!

This is an original collage of vintage wallpapers, gold origami papers from my Great Aunt June’s collection, and mixed media I found in my art studio.

The Wish Fairy's paper wings are hand-inked with the word “wish”. And in the back, I scribbled the word "wish" again and again and again until I covered the entire wooden canvas to ensure she hears your wish.

Her face is hand painted using lots of materials for a beautiful mixed media effect. On top of the alchemy of materials, I applied an antique decoupage finish to give the piece a wonderful vintage look, then beeswax to add to the texture for a truly magical effect that can best be appreciated in the close-up shots.

This Queen swims to the depths of the ocean to uncover what she values most. She passes by flashy gold riches and instead reaches for the most beautiful and unique jewel of all.

This is an original collage of vintage wallpapers, gold origami papers from my Great Aunt June’s collection, and mixed media I found in my studio.

Her face is hand painted using lots of materials for a beautiful mixed media effect. On top of the alchemy of materials, I applied an antique decoupage finish to give the piece a wonderful vintage look, full of story and magic that can best be appreciated in the close-up shots.

Signed by me, Artist and Illustrator Juliette Crane, this original measures 10" x 10" on stretched canvas. The painting continues around the sides of the canvas and is ready to hang right out of the box!

The other day I was thinking about patience, and planting tulip bulbs and having to wait until Spring to watch them bloom seemed like the perfect metaphor.
