Hand dyed Churro Yarn Rose Duo

$10.00
These two skeins were dyed to go together. I love the rose color gradation between them. All the churros in my store are from a herd in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. This yarn would be great for felting, weaving and knitting sturdy projects. I wove many, many rugs with it at 6 e.p.i.

Each skein is Single-ply yarn,170 yards weighing 4ozs. Great for felting, weaving and knitting sturdy projects.

You will receive two skeins weighing a total of
8 ozs.

I make every effort to have accurate photos of the yarns. However, your monitor may show a slightly different color due to variations in computer monitors

This yarn has not been superwash treated, so the wools will felt. I suggest hand washing all handspun yarns in cool water with mild soap. These have been in a smoke-free, cat-free environment. Occasionally, my little dog frequents the studio.

I love the peach color gradation between them.

You will receive two skeins weighing a total of
8ozs.

I make every effort to have accurate photos of the yarns.
$14.00
I spun this rustic tweedy grey navajo churro with a definite think 'n thin texture in single ply. It would be great in a rug, a warm hat, a felted bag or even doll hair.
124 yards
weight: 3 ozs
wpi: approx: 7-8 wpi.

This yarn has not been superwash treated, so the wools will felt. I suggest handwashing all handspun yarns in cool water with mild soap. These have been in a smoke-free, cat-free environment. Occasionally, my two dogs have frequented the studio.

I make every effort to have accurate photos of the yarns. However, your monitor may show a slightly different color due to variations in computer monitors
I held it with a pastel- toned rayon ribbon as I knit it. This is a grab-and-go scarf. Skinny enough to wrap around your neck and toss into a loose knot in the front or do the Oprah-tie(saw it on her show) or just let hang loose from under your coat collar.
Fibers are a super, super fine mohair/linen blend and and a fine merino blend. I augmented the fringe with a bit of fine pink rayon ribbon and chose a rib pattern for the scarf itself.
Measurements:
Length: 84"
width: 3"

This yarn has not been superwash treated, so the wools will felt. It's knit sideways for a fun vertical stripe accented by the ruffle. This one is a generous size for a person of mid-height. Measurements are 92 inches wide by 26 inches deep. The jewel tones will do dressy to jeans. I love to wear mine on the porch on a chilly night while enjoying wine and cheese with friends or early in the morning drinking coffee and reading the paper with Trinket. I imagined the colors from the vineyards and olive groves when I dyed this group of yarns. The greens are from the olive trees and olives themselves, and the cabernet tones from the vineyards. Rust tones complement the group.

This churro handspun has the most texture of this group. You will receive a single ply skein, 96 yards, and 2 oz.

I imagine using several different fibers from this group in a fabulous texture-rich shawl. Check out the others, rambouillet and lincoln, and start designing...

These have been in a smoke-free, cat-free environment. It goes over her head easily and her paws slip in quick as a wink. The easy rib pattern allows for a flexible fit to suit ones girth. :>).
Length is 9" from collar to edge. Width at chest from edge to edge when laid flat is 4 1/2", or 9 1/2" around.
Tidbit is 4"neck to tail, kinda short there, and is a chubby 9" around her chest. There are handspuns, some natural hand-dyed yarns, cochineal and indigo and combinations there of. Then I picked up some rayons, some mohair, and some wacky novelty yarns in purples. The handspun is from the red/purple yarn I also have for sale in the shop. I used it in the bottom of the ruffle and off and on throughout the piece.

Shawl measures 66 inches wide by 35 inches long (counting the ruffle).

This yarn has not been superwash treated, so the wools will felt. I suggest handwashing all handspun yarns in cool water with mild soap. These have been in a smoke-free, cat-free environment. Occasionally, my little dog frequents the studio but she has good fiber manners.

I make every effort to have accurate photos of the yarns. However, your monitor may show a slightly different color due to variations in computer monitors

I have spun the Lincoln with a bit of thick and thin texture. The purple came out of the cochineal (reds) dyepot with a subsquent dip in the indigo pot. Potpourris are great when only small amounts of yardage is needed. Great way to sample some of my yarns. Try them for embellishment, needle felting, felting,, fringe, ,rug hooking, knit flowers, even doll hair!

You will receive a portion yarns weighing 2ozs.

silver Lincoln: 30yds., 6+wpi

dark, dark churro: 21 yds.,8 wpi

This yarn has not been superwash treated, so the wools will felt.
