Mudras are a silent language of self-expression used in Hindu and Buddhist teachings. Mudra hand gestures are often used in yoga practice, meditation, and for healing purposes. The Gift Bestowing Gesture of Compassion (Varada Mudra) has right hand pendant with the palm turned outwards. This mudra symbolizes charity, compassion and generosity. It's the mudra of the accomplishment of the wish to devote oneself to human salvation. It's nearly always made with the left hand, and can be made with the arm hanging naturally at the side of the body, the palm of the open hand facing forward, and the fingers extended.
The eye popping print of our OOAK Mudra skirt is black on a turquoise blue background, with hands printed in black, gold, and red. It has an adjustable drawstring waist, with a long drawstring decorated in wooden beads and beautifully voiced brass sand-cast Indian hawk bells, to put a tinkle in your steps. The straight-lined, 44” wide skirt has a generous 20” side slit to ease those steps, and a sweet set of beads in a bangle at it's top. It’s 44” wide with a drawstring waist that can be adjusted from a 44” waist down to…infinity. Top to bottom the skirt measures 40”.

Marrakesh, the legendary Moroccan city lying at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, is famous for it's souks (markets) where snake charmers vie with fortune tellers and water sellers for your attention, and you can buy just about anything. Marrakesh was once a crossroads for caravans coming out of the Sahara Desert. A trade route from Timbuktu to Marrakesh brought aromatic and costly spices from the Far East. Marrakesh is a spicy mixture of Arab, African and European influences, and even today it’s market places are lined with dark, ancient shops filled with the rich aromas of spices from India, Indonesia’s Spice Islands, and China. The deeply sensual smells of old teakwood chests, incense and exotic spices are captured in the earthy tones and swirls of our newest soap; Marrakesh. This shirt is so fantastic! You’ve always known you are hippie/boho/gypsy royalty; here is a way to show the world you are! A beautiful light gossamer fabric in a deep red is heavily machine embroidered everywhere with radiant suns in yellow-gold and “pilled” in red. The neckline and sleeves are stitched in contrasting gold colored thread as well. The sleeves are gently belled. The suns on the front of the body (not the sleeves or back) have red jewels hand-sewn into their centers and scattered between them. Red sequins are also hand-sewn onto the shirt (as with most sequined items, there are connecting threads on the inside) that complete the shirt’s sparkling, galactic look. We’ve made all necessary repairs and alterations, and added wooden buttons, antique and vintage glass beads, and a sand-cast Indian brass bell. Modeled by ScarletBlack.

La Playa is a walk along beach, where the scent of the sea blends with the fresh aromas of beach flowers and verdant hillsides. A top note of ozone, like the energizing mist of breaking waves, melts into a middle floral note and ends in a warm, mossy base. The inspiration for this soap was a walk along the Pacific Coast in Northern California. We started our walk amid some tidal pools filled with colorful sea life, and as the tide began to come in, we climbed a trail that snaked through fields of bright wild flowers, evergreens and mosses and ended high above the sea on a hilltop full of sage. A day like that had to be memorialized We combined all those energizing scents and the colors of sand and sky into one soap; La Playa. Handmade OOAK Felted Wool Sweater/ Jacket - Eco Friendly

That’s Sam the Sham’s take on a woolly bully. Nature gives us the Woolly Bear, or Woolly Bully caterpillar. And now SilverseedNation gives you our version; the first in our line of Woolie Boolie Felted Wool Sweater/Jackets!
Our Woolie Boolies are made from wool that we have recycled from sweaters and other woolen items, then ”felted” by boiling or hot washing and drying. This causes the woolens to shrink and thicken up as they do into dense, thick felt wool perfect for sweaters and jackets. Then I use a special process to make the wool incredibly soft and not at all itchy. I felt dozens of woolens to give me a wide palette to choose from, and then select each piece for its color, size, and weight and texture. Using a pattern of my own design, and choosing medium weight wool, the pieces were cut to shape, and joined with a machine overlock stitch. For this design various seams have been accented with embroidery floss, and all the sweater/jacket edges have been hand blanket-stitched with yarn. Appliquéd pieces are made of wool. The inspiration for this work was the Cat Stevens song, “Morning Has Broken”, and it just created itself from there. The front of the Woolie Boolie is made from free form patches in red and black with bold embroidered suns peeking out. The front panels are cut into points that extend longer than the straight line back. The back is also appliquéd with a striking sun and white bird, which then drapes fully and gently at the waist line, giving it a one-of-a-kind natural look. The sleeves flare to points like rays of the sun, giving your hands a soft cover on cold days. I thought about lining the entire jacket so that people who think of all wool as itchy wouldn’t be scared off, but the wool is so soft that I decided to leave it unlined. Three beautiful silver metal hook closures finish off the front, but of course you can wear it open and still look great! This design is truly one of a kind, and will never be repeated.
So don’t be “L-seven” ~ wear a Woolie Boolie! ~
