At the edge of the meadow, in the ebbing light of day, we find him under the wispy dried grasses and bits of seed fluff left from summer's garden.

Too soon the seasons change.

This is another of my non-spooky autumn eggs made to capture the essence of fall ~ the tangy aroma of dried leaves, brisk air and final gift of glowing color before the snows of winter arrive.

This wispy "tree" with dried seed pods beneath has the look of late fall, the fields are all harvested, leaves have fallen, crisp autumn air reminds us winter is not far behind. Although not a spooky Halloween theme, the end of growth for the year and the pumpkin color fits in with my Halloween theme. Thanks for looking!

This ornament has no ghosts, witches or other obvious spooky features, instead the dried bits of twigs and seeds from wild bits of grasses and other plants make up a miniature woody view to capture the essence of autumn. Painted pumpkin orange to compliment other ornaments of the season this ornament is part of my Halloween collection.

This ornament features ghostly figures painted in the background over the body of a moth -

please note - this moth and all other insects used in my ornaments have lived a normal life - I merely salvaged their lifeless bodies from floating off into the wind after they had died a natural death.

In keeping with the scary theme of ghosts, this lifeless body of the moth now rests below the ghosts hovering above in silent vigil.

Peter Rabbit spring garden Easter egg ornament

Could this be Peter Rabbit hiding behind Farmer McGregor's watering can?

Look out! I think I hear Mrs. McGregor's cat just around the corner ~ better hop along home now before its too late!!

This egg is painted a lovely pastel blue, "Peter Rabbit" and the watering can is a charming resin figurine tucked inside a large chicken eggshell, known here in Maine as a jumbo egg.

The resin figurine does make this egg a bit heavier than most of my other eggs. It will be wrapped in bubble wrap and tucked into a sturdy cardboard fold top box suitable for storage if you pack decorations away and do not keep them on display.

The hanging trim has plenty of room at the top of the egg to allow for hanging on a display stand or hook.

As with all my eggshell ornaments, they are fragile and should be handled gently. If treated kindly they will last many years. I still have some of my very first creations from the early 1970's and they look just the same as the day they were finished.

Lucky Leprechaun tempts you with a 'Pot 'o Gold

This little fellow peers out of a deep shimmery forest green colored egg with a hint of sparkle.

In his hand he carries a little pot of gold to tempt even the most practical non-believer.

Listen closely now ~ if you are lucky, you may hear the sweet melody of fiddle music rustling through the leaves of the trees from which this wee little pixie has emerged.

Can you hear it? No? Ah well, tis early yet and the leaves are just beginning to come out. Once they fill out a bit more you may be able to catch the tune whenever the breeze dances round the willows and silver maples at the edge of the wood.

Spring and summer will not be long in arriving now!

Your ornament will be gently wrapped in bubble wrap and tucked into a sturdy cardboard fold top box, suitable for long term storage should you need to hide him away for a time.

The Lucky Leprechaun with a mischievous smile peers out of a golden egg shell while offering you a shamrock for good luck.

I found him with a number of his companions tucked away in the back of a shop in Augusta specializing in party favors.

Not many of these little fellows actually turn up so you can imagine how fortunate I felt that day!

I added the colorful details to bring out the whimsy and magic hidden as plain green background and now he appears as I think of him in my imagination. I hope you find him as charming as I do!
