Dale Cooper loves coffee. He takes it black. Pretty black. He requests it "black as midnight on a moonless night." Maybe you don't take your coffee that black but everyone can agree that a damn fine cup of coffee is sometimes enough to turn your day around.

This cross stitch is an ode to that very fact. It would be perfect in a kitchen, in a bedroom, in a living room...you get where I'm going.

The phrase "black as midnight on a moonless night" is lovingly hand stitched in white embroidery floss onto black aida cloth. It is securely mounted into a woodgrain-patterned and textured hoop (the hoop is just under 5 inches). The coffee and coffee mug are hand cut out of white and black felt and hand stitched onto the cloth to give it some texture.

Owls are a big part of Twin Peaks. They're in the forest, they're kind of scary in the dark and they are not what they seem. The giant tells Agent Cooper 3 things after he has been shot. "The owls are not what they seem" is one of those three things.

The quote is stitched onto oatmeal aida cloth in brown embroidery floss. There is a hand cut silhouette of owl done in black felt and stitched over a branch hand cut out of brown felt. The whole pieced is secured into a 7.5 inch woodgrain (faux bois, if you will) hoop. Hang it anywhere! Celebrate Twin Peaks!

Poor Harold Smith. One of Laura Palmer's Meals on Wheels recipients, Harold is young man who just wants to be left alone to tend to his orchids. He'd also like the love a good woman, but he's an agoraphobic and is limited to the lovely ladies who show up on his doorstep to pour out their hearts for his oral history project.

He describes himself, in French, as a lonely soul-- and this embroidery is perfect for the favorite lonely soul in your life. Though it literally translates to "I have a lonely soul," (or so the Internet tells me), this is the phrase that is significant in the show: "I am a lonely soul."

Hand-embroidered in melancholy shades of blue (naturally) and grey floss on white cloth, housed in a faux bois rubber frame, this little embroidery measures approx. 4 inches (10 cm) across and will do a great job adding a touch of melancholy to your happiest of rooms.

We all know that a certain Best Friends necklace causes a lot of drama in Twin Peaks after the death of Laura Palmer. It's hard to keep track of where the two halves are, and everyone goes to considerable trouble to to keep them hidden.

So, to make your life easier, we've made a sweet pair of Best Friends earrings. Now you'll never have to worry about whether or not someone's putting half of the set in a coconut shell or burying one in the woods.

These were lovingly hand-drawn and cut from extra-thick white shrink plastic, and then covered in a bright and shiny gloss. They're extremely light and wearable, and while we wouldn't recommend going over Niagara Falls in them, they are water-resistant.

In case you ever wanted to have a log of your own, here are two little ones to wear in your ears to remind everyone that "The owls are not what they seem."

These logs were lovingly hand-drawn and cut from brown shrink plastic. The log details were applied in light brown marker, and we finished them off with a bright and shiny gloss. They are extremely light and wearable and will look good with your bright red glasses, thick woolen sweater, and vintage brooches. Or anything else!

Up until now, we haven't given Catherine Martell too much attention over here at The Great Northern. Played by the great Piper Laurie, Catherine was one of the sneakiest, most dishonest and flat-out evil characters to inhabit Twin Peaks...and we love her all the more for it! Whether she's torching the mill, seducing Benjamin Horne, or disguising herself as an eminent Japanese businessman for weeks at a time, Catherine is sassy and good for endless zingy one-liners that keep us laughing.

We've picked out one of Catherine's most delicious lines (said to her poor put-upon husband Pete, of course)and embroidered it here in bright, fishy green into this faux bois hoop. We can't help but thing that it would be a great gift for anyone in your life who doesn't clean the fish out of their percolator...or anywhere else, really.

The piece measures just under five inches across, and was lovingly designed and hand-stiched by us here at The Great Northern. The accent under the text is in a slightly different shade of green.

So much happens in the first few episodes of Twin Peaks. Coop's dream in episode 3 is one of the best parts. And especially (in our opinion) the man from another place. Here is a little cross stitch to keep his words forever.

We have stitched "where we're from, the birds sing a pretty song and there's always music in the air." in a bright blue embroidery floss onto navy blue aida cloth. We have also stitched a brown felt portion of a tree and branch to the bottom with 2 little blue birds resting on the branch. The whole thing is secured into a 7inch woodgrain patterned hoop.

We all know that the residents of Twin Peaks are wild about pie, especially the ones that Norma whips up behind the counter at the Double R Diner. Agent Coop has been known to wax rhapsodic about them, and Gordon Cole once ordered an entire pie for himself. They're good pies.

This embroidery features a vibrant, richly textured, albeit inedible slice of Norma's cherry pie on a sky-blue plate. It would be right at home in the kitchen, or anywhere that could use a small dose of decorative deliciousness.

Designed and lovingly hand-rendered on white cotten Monaco cloth in a faux bois rubber hoop, the embroidery measures just under 5 inches across.

Who isn't intrigued by a secret society? It's certainly not us who aren't intrigued....wait, what? Anyway, these earrings are a playful nod to Twin Peaks' Bookhouse Boys' patches.
