sage leaves created from bronzclay {mostly copper, a little tin}. the leaves were fired in the kiln for many hours, revealing a lovely hue of vivid bronze.

bronze tundra deer necklace

a simple bronze version of my deer pendant. the raised relief of the deer is from my hand carving.

the bronze was kiln fired, then just lightly brushed. the patina will mellow into a golden hue with wear.
the pendant is suspended on a rolo chain of natural eco friendly brass. this will also change to a lighter shade over time & with wear. a swirl clasp is the closure.

the pendant measures 1 1/16" wide, 1 3/16" in length to be exact
the chain is about 16 1/2".

the pendant sways from a heavily oxidized sterling silver cable chain with a lobster clasp.

well these rustic sticks of bronze will be all the encouragement you need. they are so long, you will be forced to stretch your neck in an attempt to let these babies sway. oh and look hopefully elegant at the same time...

organic long rectangles of bronze were created from bronzclay, an eco~friendly bronze that is solid bronze after kiln firing. {composed of 89% copper, 11% tin}

i used an actual flower spike for the relief. they were fired for many hours.
they dangle from my own elongated sterling ear wires. oxidized & polished

they measure::
rectangles~ 1/4" w, 2 1/8" l
total length from the top of the ear wires~ 2 3/4"

a vine relief wraps around the band.

this genus is a prolific plant that is used by my husband for green roof trays. {yey green roofs!}

the ring was fired in the kiln, tumbled, oxidized, and lightly polished.

kalluna earrings fine silver

a sprig from my heather plant was used for the relief in these rectangles of eco friendly fine silver.

'kalluna' is Greek name of the plant, meaning 'to brush'.

hmmm.. an interesting bit of history~ heather was used by the Picts in Scotland to make heather ale, even 3,000 years ago! Possibly the oldest of the ales...
and it also had practical uses (aside from getting one inebriated), it was also used to make rope and brooms.

this delicate bronze pendant portrays a gracious bell~shaped flower from my own carving.
the bronze has the wild, original heat patina from the kiln firing.

the sterling chain has been oxidized & slightly hand polished. it measures 18" in length.

These earrings have me singing ♫ Dolly Parton's 'Little Sparrow' song ... one of my favorites.

Bronze is a surprise out of the kiln every time- you never know what you're going to get! The patina has not been sealed, so it will mellow to a lovely warm shade of golden yellow.
The shades are slightly different on each round of bronze.
