The balls were made by layering a grey and brown cormo/border leicester x fleece and random handfuls of fiber (cormo, domestic wool top, mohair, angelina, firestar, superwash wool, bamboo, sparkle, and who knows what else)on one of Eric's blending hackles and dizing it off into a chunky lumpy roving that is very fun to spin. Beautiful mix of crazy rich colors and an earthy grayish brown. Comes from a smoke free home.

As the batts are hand pulled into roving there may be thinner spots. This listing is for 3.4oz. The spun sample is not included in this listing.

RANDOM BEAUTY #6 handspun by me. This is a wild mix of different types of fine to medium grade wool and fiber in various colors spun in a thick and thin yarn though not drastically so. The fiber was spun from roving, batts, and right from the locks making each skein completely OOAK. When knit or crocheted the Random Beauty skeins will make a sort of "sand in a bottle" patterning similar to the sand bottles kids make at festivals with colored sand. I have included a photo of a purse I made with a similar skein of Random Beauty. They are lots of fun to work with!!

The yarn is a thick and thin Dk to sport weight with 11-12WPI. The skein weighs 4.2 oz. and has approx. 230 yards. Comes from a smoke free home.

The colors are a crazy chaotic mix of white, pastels, neutrals, and earthy colors. There are large chunks and nepps in the batts as they only went through the carder once to blend them a little and create the batts.

Blue Mountain Handcrafts Beth's Basic Toe Up Sock Knitting Pattern for any size foot. This is the sock pattern I use for all of my family's socks. I got tired of fighting with other patterns for several reasons and trying to find patterns for all the different size feet in my house.

I created this pattern so that it would:
1. adjust to any size foot
2. you can use virtually any stitch pattern
3. you can use any type and weight of yarn
4. you don't have to worry about running out of yarn when you work from the toe up
5. the heel is alot easier to do
6. you can try on the sock as you go
7. you don't have to deal with the hateful cast on stitches at the top of the sock that often need a little "lipstick" when the sock is done.

The pattern does require you do a little measuring and a little basic math---nothing that involves mixing letters and numbers ;)! The pattern uses 5 DPN Knitting needles.

The pictures show some examples of socks I've made for my family in a variety of weights and types of yarn with different stitch patterns.

I'M NOT QUITE SURE single ply thick and thin handspun yarn. The yarn was spun from an I'm Not Quite Sure crazy batt that is a mix of left over bits from previous batts. I know the batt contained angelina glitz, firestar, border leicester, cormo, bamboo, mulberry silk, nepps, and sparkle but I'm Not Quite Sure what else was in there. The colors are a crazy mix of an overall silvery gray with spots of color here and there and lots of sparkle.

I'M NOT QUITE SURE spinning batt. This crazy batt is a mix of left over bits from previous batts. I know the batt contains angelina glitz, firestar, border leicester, cormo, bamboo, mulberry silk, nepps, and sparkle but I'm Not Quite Sure what else is in here. The colors are a crazy mix of bright and rich colors mixed with a white and gray that spins up to have a silvery gray overall coloring with spots of sparkle and color here and there.

The batt has a total weight of 3.2 oz. Comes from a smoke free home.

RANDOM BEAUTY #4 handspun by me. This is a wild mix of different types of fine to medium grade wool and fiber in various thicknesses, textures, and colors. The fiber was spun from roving, batts, and right from the locks making each skein completely OOAK. When knit or crocheted the Random Beauty skeins will make a sort of "sand in a bottle" patterning similar to the sand bottles kids make at festivals with colored sand. I have included a photo of a purse I made with a similar skein of Random Beauty. They are lots of fun to work with!!

The yarn is a thick and thin Aran weight with 8-9WPI. The skein weighs 8oz. and is approx. 304 yards.

This smooth roving is made from a blend of 64's merino combed top, BFL combed top, angelina, firestar, mulberry silk, dyed curly locks, and silky border leicester with a 6" staple in natural colors. The roving is a beautiful cloudy white with a hint of the natural silvery gray and brown of the border leicester along with whispers of blue, purple, gold, silver, pink, and teal. It is very soft and fluffy and spins up beautifully!!

WOOLY GEMS dyed locks. This listing is for 1oz. of silky dyed wool locks with an average staple length of 3" to 4". The locks are from a mystery cross bred sheep and are very silky and soft but not fine merino soft. I think they are comparable to Coltswold locks personally. The locks are dyed in rich shades of green, gold, purple, blue, pink, and burgundy. Great for spinning, felting, and other crafts!

MR. AND MRS. Clover bamboo straight knitting needles in size 5. My 10 year old daughter is a fimo fiend. She's made tops for my straight needles and this was a pair I don't really use much...I prefer shorter needles. The little fimo birds are super cute (the "Elvis" hair on the male bird is hysterical;). Katie does lots of little details and made sure there were no major sticky outy pieces that could break off easily. The birds were made and baked right on the needles to ensure they won't come off.

The needles themselves are in very good used once condition and are approx. 12" long from tip to bird bottom. The largest bird (male)is approx. 3/4" tall (with hair) x 1/2" wide. The needles will be shipped Priority and packaged within an inch of their lives to ensure that the needles do not get snapped or otherwise broken in transit. Katie will receive all monies from the sale of this listing........I get paid in hugs and kisses.

SO VINTAGE handmade cirucular knitting needle roll up case features 10 pockets to store your circular knitting needles in--you can fit several small needles in one pocket. There is a band down the center that one needle can be slipped under before putting in the pocket with its mate--this keeps them from falling out of the case. The case is folded in half like a book with the band down the center being your "binding" and then rolled up and tied with the ribbon.
