Viking Weave Tutorial / Instructions

Sometimes called Viking Knit or Viking Chain, this cord is constructed by weaving silver wire around a mandrel, pulling the results through a draw plate, and completing it with cones for a professional finish. The style is based on ancient Viking and Indian patterns and is perfect for making a cord for bracelets and necklaces. The tutorial includes instructions to make an asymmetrical bangle (second photo).

A little songbird sits in the blossoms of a cherry tree branch. This pendant is sterling silver, about 5/8" (18mm) tall and 1/2" (12mm) wide, and comes with an 18" sterling silver chain. Jennifer (3 Bird Chicks) Pendant

This is a brass pendant with three bird chicks engraved in it. It is on a 36" hand-dyed silk ribbon that can be tied short or long. The pendant measures about half an inch (15mm) square. My friend Jennifer has three small children, so this piece is named for her.
