Here's a beautiful Japanese Style flower sawpierced from Sterling Silver. It is a delicate piece, again reminiscent of my mother's kimono. She had so many with beautiful flowers in gold thread & silver thread with silk embroidery in a vast array of colors.

The best thing about that is that it has definitely left an imprint somewhere in me...

This lovely Sterling Silver Hairpin came from a long time association with Japan. My mother was Japanese and she used to wear beautiful hairpins through her French Bun.

This Hairpin was inspired by her wearing Japanese Bamboo & Flower Hairpins. These also double as a sweater pin, when not worn in hair.

The pendant has been domed and sandblasted and depicts the top end of a flower, japanese style.

This pendant was inspired by my mother's love of Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arragement) and also by the number 3. At the moment I am fascinated by the number three, so I have decided to work on things that have something to do with three.

This delicate bird pendant I dedicate to my Japanese grandmother. She was a maker of Hakata Dolls.

It is sawpierced & engraved and the metal is Sterling Silver.

When you throw a pebble into a pond of very still water, many ripples occur. This sterling silver ring is a section of the ripples with the centre swirl.

Slightly oxidized to give it depth.

It is aprox 10mm (0.44")and quite thick to accomodate the swirl design.It has been carved, filed & engraved, and therefore varies slightly from ring to ring, depending on size.

A huge Papal style ring in Sterling Silver, with a rounded prehnite cabochon. It is a delicate pale moss green, with some subtle darker stripes.

This is a one of kind, as the stone has been especially cut to suit the style of the ring. The texture is sandblasted to give a sparkly matt finish, an almost glow to the sterling silver.

Here's a little about hearts:
In religious texts the HEART has historically been ascribed much mystical significance, either as metaphor or as an organ genuinely believed to have spiritual or divine attributes.

In Egyptian mythology, the HEART portion of the soul was weighed in a balance against the feather of Ma'at, symbolising truth, in the judgment of the dead in the Egyptian Book of the Dead. These earrings are approx 25mm x 25mm ( 1''square) . Edelweiss flower on hoops in 9ct gold. The total length from top of hoop to bottom of flower is approx. 40mm (just over 1.5"). The hoops have a slight hammered texture and the Flowers have been handcut and cast.

I made these as a reminiscence of my time spent in a small Austrian village called Alt-Aussee near Salzburg, where my Grandfather used to live. We did a lot of walking around the hills and mountains and, as a child, I was able to find some Edelweiss (which is now protected).

These are available in polished (as in the photo) or in a satin finish. If you do not state a preference, I will send you the polished ones.

Another Japanese inspired pendant. This one takes the name from my own japanese name 'Sakura' which means 'cherry blossom'. My mother, who was japanese, named me 'Sakura' (Ceeb is one of my middle names), and hence all the japanese influence.

Three Sakuras are joined by delicate branches and domed. Of course, they are asymmetrical and hang on a delicate sterling silver chain. The pendant has been lightly sand blasted.

So this one is for me (and of course any of you who like it!)
As each piece is individually handmade, they may differ slightly from one to the next, but essentially each design will remain as close to the image shown as is humanly possible.

A very Japanese Flower! The Chrysanthemum!! It is used in so many Japanese things.

The flower was introduced into Japan probably in the 8th century AD, and the Emperor adopted the flower as his official seal. There is a "Festival of Happiness" in Japan that celebrates the flower.

So this one is for Happiness!

Sawpierced out of Sterling Silver and then finished with a sandblasted/matt texture, this pendant will certainly stand out!

This piece was first carved out of wax and then cast using the "Lost Wax" Technique.

It is very comfortable piece to wear as there are no clasps to open and close. Just pop the piece on and pull the cords to the desired length and it will stay on!

I made this piece with the idea that we all protect our hearts, hence the circle framing the Heart.

2mm hammered Sterling Silver bangle with charm on it. your choice of one of the charms on the image. Either the Lotus Flower or the Edelweiss Flower.

These have been saw pierced with a jeweller's saw using a very fine blade, and then links are constructed and place on the hammered bangles and soldered shut with the charm on. A time consuming excercise.

It is also possible to have more than one charm on the bangle.

Each additional charm is US20

each additional plain (without charm) bangle is $15. must be purchased with at least 1 charm bangle. So you can really customize the bangles.

I can also make a charm of your design, although the cost will be based upon the design. you will need to convo me for a quote.

These were inspired by percussion instruments. the make a lovely sound when worn.

Another Japanese inspired pendant. This one takes the name from my own japanese name 'Sakura' which means 'cherry blossom'. My mother, who was japanese, named me 'Sakura' (Ceeb is one of my middle names), and hence all the japanese influence.

This is a gorgeous single Iris flower that I have sawpierced out of Sterling silver on a delicate sterling silver curb chain.

"...The fleur-de-lis, a stylized iris, descends from the white iris which is native to Florence, Italy and which grew even in its city walls. This white iris, displayed against a red background, became the symbol of Florence until the Medici family, to signal a change in political power, reversed the colors making the white one red and setting in motion a centuries-long breeding program to hybridize a red iris. Catherine de Medici carried this symbol of Florence to Paris when she married the king of France where this most famous of irises acquired its moniker, fleur-de-lis. Contemporary uses can be seen in the Quebec flag and the logo of the New Orleans Saints professional football team, and on the flag of Saint Louis, Missouri. The iris has been associated with France as Louis VII adopted it as a symbol in the 12th Century. Furthermore, it is the almost universal symbol of Scouting and one of the symbols adopted by the sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Another Japanese Style Flower that has been sawpierced (cut out with a very thin jeweller's sawblade)and then soldered on to a 2mm thick square sterling silver wire. This has then been polished at the end of the hairstick/sweater pin in order to make it smooth to use.

The great thing also is that you can use it as a sweater pin (better through a loosely knitted garment/shawl) and then when you want to put your hair up, you just use your hairstick/sweater pin!

The flower measures 35mm/approx 1.5" wide and 28mm/1.1"high.

As each piece is individually handmade, they may differ slightly from one to the next, but essentially each design will remain as close to the image shown as is humanly possible.

Something about 'Sakura':
In Japan the cherry blossoms are believed to exemplify the transient nature of life, because of their short blooming times. Cherry blossoms also symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming en masse, besides being an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life, an aspect of Japanese cultural tradition that is often associated with Buddhistic influence, and which is embodied in the concept of mono no aware. The association of the Sakura with mono no aware dates back to 18th-century scholar Motoori Norinaga. The transience of the blossoms, the extreme beauty and quick death, has often been associated with mortality; for this reason, Sakura are richly symbolic, and have been utilized often in Japanese art, manga, anime, and film, as well as at musical performances for ambient effect.

Sakura is an omen of good fortune and is also an emblem of love, affection and represents spring. Cherry blossoms are an enduring metaphor for the fleeting nature of life, and as such are frequently depicted in art.

One of my favorite 'bugs' is the moth. This one has a japanese style about it and is sawpierced out of sterling silver and hangs from a delicate sterling liver chain. It has also been engraved. A beautifully floral cut out cuff in Sterling Silver. It is 50mm (2") wide. Satin finish.

This cuff has been sawpierced (hand cut outs with a fine jeweller's saw) with shapes resembling many flowers all the way around it. There is a lot of work involved forming these cuffs, as they have to be constantly annealed (heated) in order to gently coax the metal around a bracelet mandrel.

Another Japanese Style Flower that has been sawpierced (cut out with a very thin jeweller's sawblade)and then soldered on to a 2.5mm thick square sterling silver wire. This has then been polished at the end of the hairstick/sweater pin in order to make it smooth to use.

The great thing also is that you can use it as a sweater pin (better through a loosely knitted garment/shawl) and then when you want to put your hair up, you just use your hairstick/sweater pin!

This one is my Japanese name "Sakura".

This kit includes the swing earrings PLUS another 4 shapes consisting of a brass squared shape, a sterling silver squared shape, a brass triangular piece, a sterling silver triangular piece and two discs, one brass and the other sterling silver.

You can interchange them to whatever combination you want to wear, for example one brass triangle on one ear and one sterling disc on the other. they are perfectly balanced to swing (see photo of placement in ear).

Asymmetrical rectangles and squares are scattered on the top. The ring tapers down, so it is not as wide on the bottom. That way you can be comfortable and still feel like you are wearing a narrower ring.

My Japanese namesake! The lovely Sakura Flower! Cherry Blossom!

Here is a Knot version of the Japanese Cherry Blossom. I sawpierced this out, and oxidized the engraved lines to give the impression of 3D. the metal is Sterling silver and it gently hangs on a delicate 40mm sterling silver chain. You could easily also wear it on a black cord.

A very Japanese Flower! The Chrysanthemum!! It is used in so many Japanese things.

The flower was introduced into Japan probably in the 8th century AD, and the Emperor adopted the flower as his official seal. There is a "Festival of Happiness" in Japan that celebrates the flower.

So this one is for Happiness!

Sawpierced out of Sterling Silver and then finished with a sandblasted/matt texture, this pendant will certainly stand out!

It is domed and is 18ct gold vermeil over sterling silver.

It measures approx 50mm/2" at its' longest point with a width of almost 50mm/2" at its' widest point.

The pendant is suspended from a delicate 18ct yellow gold vermeil over Sterling Silver Chain. Length is approx 42cm/16".
