To be faithful to my store name, I want to offer more of my tatted things - this time it'll be some bookmarks - right for the beginning of the school year!
This particular one is made with only one shuttle, and comes in 2 sizes - 6 x 1 1/2 and 7 x 2 inches - all depending of the tread. I use cotton thread #80 (tatting) for the first size and #10 for the second. The thinner thread gives more delicate look and is suitable for books with thinner pages, and the thicker thread is more suitable for smaller children, and thicker book pages.
The color combinations are almost endless, including the following:
-pink and white
-white and sky blue shades
-white and dark blue shades
-white and yellow
-dark pastel shades - variegated
-light pastel shades - variegated
-rainbow color - bright variegated
-pink and green shades
and the list goes on!
If there is a color you want and I do not listed have, just ask for it - I bet I have it or I can get it in no time.

Another of the "experiments" of mine - this time it's not only the thread, it's the shape too. This hat is made from a ribbon thread in the color of autumn leaves (100% nylon). The peculiarity is that the crown is not closed, as with the others, but stays slightly open, so you can put your pony tail through the top. If you have not a pony tail - well, the ribbon on the top closes the opening well, and drapes gracefully. I left it plain, but you can decorate it even more - f.e. wooden beads on the end of the ribbon will combine well.
Smoke free home, no pets hair.
Hand wash, lay flat to dry.

This hat started as an experiment working lace with a fancy yarn. Made from polyester thread, the yarn is mainly black with silver colored shiny spots, forming something like a ladder. This hat is more suitable for a party or even formal occasion, but you can wear it at the daytime with the blue jeans too (LOL). Sorry, the picture does not give the full homage to the real thing.
Hand knitted, in circular rounds (no back or side seams). Smoke-free home, no pet's hair in my hats.
Hand wash in lukewarm water, lay flat to dry.

The combination of black chenille yarn and bright colored twisted nylon thread gives a sparkle to this beanie hat. As all my hats, it's hand made in circles, so there is no seam - ideal for a chemo hat. The decoration is the rice stitch, forming the body of the hat - no holes in this one. This color combination - hot pink, blue, yellow and orange - is so bright, that you cannot take away your eyes from it. I made lots of hats with this yarn, yet this one is the first to be placed for sale in etsy - my teen daughter and her friends just love them.
The hat is universal - you can wear it as a beanie (like the teens), but it has enough body and you can tuck your hair under it too. The lacy top and the rolled brim give the hat some flapper's charm.
