Inspired by couriers of old, the Red Heart Book Wrap invokes past times by adding a decorative splash to protecting your books. Measuring 16.5 inches x 11 inches, the Red Heart Book Wrap’s exterior is a delicious textile sandwich of dyed muslin, paper ephemera and chiffon with free motion machine embroidery, which has been distressed through reverse appliqué and burning methods. At the center is a felted heart adorned and stitched with paper as the interior is a luxurious lining of eco-fi felt. Decorative stitching on muslin edges the width and height of the wrap. A 27 inch embroidered muslin tie completes the piece.

The Red Heart Book Wrap is the perfect size for trade paper backs, novellas, journals, small notebooks and some electronic readers.

Inspired by universal themes and symbols, my Red Heart cuffs are created with a base of felt and liner of muslin.

Each fabric mixture is inspirited by a series of archetypes, which transcends the boundaries of culture and time.

For La Estrella, the outer cuff is a medley of coffee stained muslin and free motion machine embroidery. The circle, the symbol of wholeness & completion and the spiral, the symbol for growth & creativity are further enhanced by the color of deep red, the color of luck and good fortune. The red heart, itself, is made from eco-fi felt and textured with free motion machine embroidery; at the center, an antique German Glass button backed with 14 carat gold leafing, which shines brilliantly.

La Estrella measures approximately 2 x 8 inches before fastened. A large snap joins the cuff for a comfortable and secure fit. Cuff fits wrists size of 5-6.5 inches.

Little Ms. Yuletide aka Holly is a clay and cloth doll creation of holiday cheer. Measuring 18 ¼ inches from the top of her head to the tips of her toes, Holly’s body is made from muslin stuffed with polyfill and her head and torso are covered with two layers of paper clay. Holly’s face and body have been painted, distressed and stained for a primitive finish. She adorns a skirt made from quilter’s novelty cloth and an apron cut from coffee and rust stained linen with an underskirt of tulle. Holly’s apron bears the symbol of her name with a pair of holly leaves and trio of berries hand drawn and painted.

This Little Ms. Yuletide is a perfect addition for your seasonal and/or home décor.
