$235.00
This coat is reserved - so please do not purchase it unless you are celeste. more coats coming soon!
kat

This is a massive, magical, opulantly rainbow crazyquilt wondercoat. I love it so much...if i didnt have a crumbling house to fix up i would keep i for myself...THere are probably about 30 different sweaters in this - the skirt part is huge - when I laid it flat it looked literally about twice as big as my normal coats. It has a lot of extra love in it....I look forward to seeing who is going to adopt this one. It is very long, so if you are less thatn 5'6" you may want me to shorten it a bit.

It is a size XL. QUite long.

40" BUST (but stretchy)
56" LONG

Enjoy!
***

I make lots of funky, reconstructed sweaters out of recycled materials. I am forever combing thrift stores to find the most interesting fabrics to use. Each sweater is a unique work of art, made while I rock out to weird music and sing off key. I like to think that a little crazy happiness gets woven into each creation.

I encourage you to have a look at my website - www.katwise.com. I have all sorts of clothes there - funky pants, lovely dresses, embroidered everything, plus lots of amazing tales, like the time I hitchhiked to Timbuktu.
All proceeds go to fund my haphazard world travels, and to ensure that my free spirit never has to sit behind a desk, unless it is to write an autobiography off all the craziness I have lived. - Inshallah!

***RAndOM THOUGhTS ABouT MY STUfF THAT YOU MaY CARE TO REad BEfoRE BUYING**

Due to the unending variation of the knits I use, a lot of the stuff has a little more, um, *personality* that stuff you would buy at a regular store By that I mean don't be shocked if not every seam is 100% perfectly symmetrical. I prefer character and whimsy, and I hope you do too.

A lot of my creations, in particular coats and dresses with full skirts, have a bit of extra flounce and bounce at the beginning, due to the combining of all different weight sweaters. I find that after a few wearing the knits tend to relax a bit and hang nicer.

Each item is rather unique in terms of its feel and stretch and size and so forth.

I try to use only the softest, yummiest natural knits to construct my whimsical creations. I dislike scratchy stuff, so that is rare - but if you are extra sensitive, feel free to convo me before purchasing if you are concerned about the itch factor of a particular item.

I try to make everything *one size fits most* but you are super tiny or extra large, you are welcome to contact me about how well this pair might fit you.

I put all sweaters in the washer and dryer before sewing with them to get most shrink out of the way. But to be safe you ought to hand wash cold and dry flat.

Please read my POLICIES page if you have any questions about shipping/care/refunds etc.... You can choose any variety of colors, patterns and textures, and I will do my best to weave my magic into them. After you purchase this, I shall promptly convo you with a bunch of questions about the measurements and colors etc... Then in one to three weeks I will have your custom creation on its way to you.

You can choose from a pointy or rounded hood (I can make it extra big for your dreadlocks, if you want). There is the option of dramatic bell sleeves, or more fitted sleeves (do you like thumb holes?). I can make it to fit your body just how you like.

It is so fun to get something made just for you, from your own vision. I love working with folks to share this little thrill. If you have a really crazy vision, more extreme (or much larger sized) than what you see in these pics, convo me and maybe we can conjure up something.

I make lots of funky, reconstructed sweaters out of recycled materials. Tune in to one of my posting parades to get the first peek at my new offerings. more to come this weekend!!

This is a luscious and lovely patchwork coat made from a striking variety of vintage and upcycled sweaters. It has a lot of very bright rainbow shades with lovely stripes and silliness.

There are a lot of great textures and patterns happening in this jacket. The pointy hood and full swooshy bottom are quite playful, while the overall effect is warm and cuddley. It has the ever popular thumbholes.

It is a size medium with a tie front bodice to make it even more adjustable. *one size fits most*

35" BUST (approx - can be more or less, depending how you tie it)
43" LONG

Enjoy!

Thanks!

*phew* did you really read all that??
