Amulets like this have been collected for centuries by the Buddhist people of Thailand. It is believed that an amulet or medal such as this brings luck and protection to its owner. The more worn around the neck the better the luck will be! They are also thought to repel evil. The mating geckos symbolize improved wealth to the owner!

This is a very cute picture frame from the 1940's. These little apple themed picture frames are typical of that era, but are very rarely found! It's heavy metal, probably brass, silver plated. There is a little patina that looks wonderful, it looks it's age.

The 'glass' is perspex and is held in place with a circular clip. The perspex has a lovely aged look and will make your photos look instantly retro!

This is a genuine Altar Cloth from a Catholic church in the South of France. I visited the church while it was being restored 15 years ago and rescued this and other items that were being thrown out.

I would estimate that this cloth is between 75 and 100 years old. It is made from sage green velvet on cream and stone brocade with a black and gold trim at either end. It is backed with deep ivory colored thick cotton.

It measures 20 inches by 12 inches.

As you would expect, it's worn, it also has candle wax and wine stains. I haven't tried cleaning or repairing it, it's totally original and authentic with character.

A set of 3 blessed clay amulets from Thailand

Religious amulets like these have been collected for centuries by the Buddhist people of Thailand. It is believed that an amulet or medal such as this brings luck and protection to its owner. The more worn around the neck the better the luck will be! They are also thought to repel evil.

From left to right -
1. This is the largest. It is a creamy ivory color, shaped like an arched doorway. One side shows a raised standing Buddha, with text beneath. It measures 30mm high, 22mm across and is 5mm deep.

2. A lovely earthy brown color, the smallest of the three. This one has an indentation in the form of the sitting Buddha, with intricate patterns around the edge. It measures 20mm high, 15mm across, and is approx 3mm deep.

3. Almost the color of charred wood, and probably the oldest of the set, this amulet appears to have the form of a robed Buddhist monk carved on it. Again, it is arch shaped, with a pattern carved into the edge. It measures 20mm across (at the widest point), 27mm high, and is approx 5mm deep.

These religious amulets/medals can be used for jewelry making, craft projects, card making, or given simply as gifts to special people.

A beautiful and extremely rare, old French rosary with an olive wood and silvered metal crucifix and medal, in very good vintage condition.

The medal is especially interesting as on one side there are five entwined crucifix's with JERUSALEM stamped in the center. On the reverse are the words TERRA SANTA and a 'blood red' spot in the center.

The crucifix is olive wood, with tips of silvered metal. On the reverse of the crucifix is stamped JERUSALEM.

The beads are made from natural olive wood.

This lovely doll/ornament is a vintage collectible. Evoking childhood memories of the Spanish doll brought home from holidays many years ago!

Dressed in a traditional Spanish flamenco costume, adorned with lace and wearing a mantilla. She has a rose in her thick black hair and hot red earrings too -dressed to enjoy the fiesta!

The dress is 'hooped', in charcoal grey background with yellow and lilac flowers/pattern. The lace edging the dress and bodice is faded lilac. The mantilla is cream.
