My process of making my tiles begins with me carving a master. I insure that this tile is perfect in every way because it makes the journey simpler for me down the road. Once I complete the tile I make a plaster mold of it, destroying the master tile but preserving the print of it. With this process I can make unlimited amounts of the same tile by pressing and pulling clay from the mold.

The tiles are 4 x 4 inches, but due to the nature of the material, they all will have small variations (ex. Glaze more bold in areas compared to others). They are also not an exact square…

This tile’s thickness is: 1cm

All my tiles come in three colors: Dark Grey, Caramel, and Evergreen.

I have marked them in the back so that they can be installed as accent tiles (or for however you wish) but if you would like, I can make them so that you can hang it on your wall for a decoration. If you would like me to add this, please let me know at the check out in the message to seller.

The pot that this candle sits in has been produced on a pottery wheel (by my self). It is a medium fire clay so this piece will take a lot of heat. The outside is a mocha color, and the inside has been glazed clear so the natural color of the clay is revealed. Brown decals of stars have been applied on in the outside and the inside with a third firing of the piece. After the candle burns through, the pot will make a great candy dish.

Bee’s wax has been melted into the pot for an organic continuation of this piece. No scent has been added so you can only smell the natural sweetness of the Bee’s wax itself. Bee’s wax also naturally purifies air, making this a great candle.

My process of making my tiles begins with me carving a master. I insure that this tile is perfect in every way because it makes the journey simpler for me down the road. Once I complete the tile I make a plaster mold of it, destroying the master tile but preserving the print of it. With this process I can make unlimited amounts of the same tile by pressing and pulling clay from the mold.

The outside is a Green glaze, and the inside has been glazed clear so the natural color of the clay is revealed. I have taken the picture myself and have turned the photo into a decal which I then fired onto the bowl. After the candle burns through, the pot itself will make a great candy dish.

The pot that this candle sits in has been produced on a pottery wheel (by my self). It is a medium fire clay so this piece will take a lot of heat. The outside is a black metallic glaze, and the inside has been glazed clear so the natural color of the clay is revealed. After the candle burns through, the pot itself will make a great candy dish.

Bee’s wax has been melted into the pot for an organic continuation of this candle. No scent has been added so you can only smell the natural sweetness of the Bee’s wax itself. Bee’s wax also naturally purifies air, making this a great candle.

I used stain to color it, and finished the piece with with a layer of clear glaze to enrich the color and give the piece a glossy surface.

'Carved' is a piece reflecting the emotion of a tree when a couple carves their initials into its bark. The bark is peeling off on its right cheek and has initials carved in a made-up language (so that its universal). I made this piece because I always wondered how a tree feels when people hurt the trees.

Last Drink- Pine Beetle Infestation - Ceramic - Wall Piece

'Last Drink' is a ceramic wall piece that reflects the suffering pine trees in British Columbia. Pine Beetles, when they enter the body of the tree, transmit a fungus that turns the wood blue. I have used a variety of stains to color this piece to develop an essence of the effect. The tree spirit is taking a sip from a glass because all the trees can do after they have been effected is wait till they die. If you look closely on the forehead, you can see an image of a pine beetle.

'Last Drink' is 17 inches high x 6 inches wide

You could possibly place a candle in the cup if you wish- I do not mind if you add something into it.

Once I complete the tile I make a plaster mould of it, destroying the master tile but preserving the print of it. With this process I can make unlimited amounts of the same tile by pressing and pulling clay from the mould.
