The film was probably a western and the shepherd just might be the meek young man in the middle of the two crusty looking, older cowboys. One of them is looking threatening and the other looks like he wants to protect the meek young shepherd. The classic story of the offbeat kind outsider. A story as old as time.

This Vintage promotional photograph for a 40's film doesn't really seem to have anything to do with a Mad Marriage, unless the gentleman mobster...or is he an agent is so mad to be married that he is about to shoot his wife. My guess is that that changed the name of the film later on. I love the staged look of this photograph with the flowered curtain and fireplace in the background. Can you believe how slick he looks.

I imagine I would have liked them to be my friends. Perhpas they are at a resort and on vacation, just back from a hike or a swim in the lake. Nothing fussy about their demeanor. Probably circa 1930's

For sale is the actual photograph not a print. This photograph is a bit wrinkled, with several creases and bends on the back, along with some black splotches of paper on the back as well. However, it doesn't detract from the image on the front in the least.

On back of this sepia tone photo is some residue of black paper, they seem to have been glued into an album with black backing at one time.

This is an absolutely amazing one of a kind and unique African American Figurine.
This saxophone player is charming hand painted ceramic. I was told that it was Staffordshire however their are no markings on the bottom of it.

I haven't been able to find anything similar to it, but it is definitely an unusual handcrafted piece. I love his top hat or knot on his head. You can see the primitive brushwork on his shirt pocket.

There is a few small paint scratches on the back of him and on his right shoe . However, otherwise he is in excellent condition.

This piece is really wonderful and will be a magical addition to any collection.

This charming postcard, is probably and advertisement type joke on Cadburys Cocoa. It shows a man in top coat and top hat sitting at a table with a waiter bringing him his cocoa. He is full of himself and says, This is really too bad.
This is from another era and speaks of privileged classes and alludes to more than our values can imagine. Charming and unique.

This a beautiful collectible New York City Plate that has the following sites pictured/listed on it:

The plate has a sticker on the plate back that is silver "A Quality Product - Made in Japan". There is also a hanging string on the back inserted through holes made in the plate. The plate is in good shape with no chips, no cracks, no nicks.

A wonderful piece of memorabilia of a time in New York where life was simpler and safer.

This charming vintage photo is of four women standing in front of a large stone fireplace in 1934 at the Chicago Worlds Fair, Century of Progress Exposition Fair. It was probably a souvenir photograph taken as a memory of the experience. A Century of Progress International Exposition was held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Chicago.

This old stone fireplace was probably part of one of either two attractions at the fair. The Colonial Village filled with replicas of significant historical buildings and relics of the Colonial era of American history or the Foreign Village which had an impressive collection of picturesque villages from foreign lands and from long ago.

This photograph is a historic treasure and a charming momento as well.

Vintage Miao/Hmong Hilltribe Textile Piece

Approx Size: 20 in. x 3.5 in.

This vintage cloth is hand embroidered by the Miao/Hmong tribes using cross stitch on hemp.

The colors are predominately pink and turquoise green. There are 5 squares of embroidery, 3 pink and 2 green. The backing is black. The strip has been cut on each side and has 3 stripes bordering the embroidery/applicay work.

This vintage piece is old and was given to me by a friend who visited the hmong hill tribes. It has not been washed.
This form of detailed work takes time to produce and is not readily available.The embroidery can be used in garment making/patch work/home craft projects to add individuality.

Use this beautiful and unique piece of fabric in quilts, clothing, mixed media work or whatever calls to your imagination.
