Not getting enough mail these days? Of course, I mean the good old snail-mail variety, where there is handwriting and stamps and well thought out sentiments and maybe little drawings, too?

The best way to encourage correspondence is to write some yourself, so...

Here's a set of ten, one of a kind, recycled Mother Goose Rhymes* envelopes that were made from a sadly brokendown but still lovely vintage 70's illustrated children's book (each one is printed on both sides for extra appeal).

These envelopes are all hand traced, handcut and glued (but not gummed, so you'll need a sticker or a gluestick to seal them). This set comes with pre-attached blank coordinating labels (also recycled) for you to write any info/ address upon.

Now you can write to your sweetheart, or your grandparents, or... or anyone actually! And in style, too! Your recipient will never get bored of the beautiful mail you send!

If you love them too much to send them away, they are also great for gluing into your sketchbook, so you can collect little oddments, for future use.

This soft wool yarn with lots of bloom was lovingly handdyed using natural dye made from organic Vidalia onion skins. It features very slight variations on a warm golden brown like the most perfect of perfect onions.

The yardage is good to either add to whatever project your heart desires, or to hold it's own on a small project. This yarn is feltable and soft, but not for next-to-your-neck sort of soft.

Some hanks have a knot. Of course, you can knit it as is or you can cut out the knot and weave in the ends where you join (or felt together).

This soft warm wool tam hat is knit with care using some handspun incantations, meditations, threads of prayer, handdyed yarn (using acid dyes which are colorfast, lightfast, and washfast) and time sprinkled on for good measure. This hat will sit low and slouch about on your head,but maybe not as much when stuffed with dreadlocks.

These lovely stringettes of wool yarn were lovingly handdyed using acid dyes (which by the way, are lightfast, washfast and colorfast) while simultaneously holding longer swaths of yarn together so they wouldn't become hopelessly tangled during their traumatic journey through the dyepot. They have done their job well, and now they can retire to the life of decadent art supplyhood they so greatly deserve.

They features saturated shades of Raspberry, Mulberry, Plum, Rose, fuschia, Mauve, Dusty purple hot pink, fire, Tangerine, Saffron, teal, Navy Sky lagoon iris, Daffodil, and many more...

The yardage is not good to knit with, but to tie in to weaving or To recycle into carded batts, or to be sewn into fabrics or to be incorporated into homemeade paper or used in felting.

Here's a set of ten, one of a kind envelopes, so you can write to all your melancholy friends (or just to one and s/he'll never get bored).

These are all hand traced, handcut and glued (but not gummed) envelopes upcycled from my own photographic prints, some recycled magazines and found ruined books. Items otherwise headed for the landfill...

Comes with matching blank address labels (pre-adhesed) for you to write any info/ address upon.
Perfect fit for money and checks... it's that standard small size. no extra postage.

This is a set of twelve lovely, romantic, one of a kind musicelopes are hand traced, handcut and glued (but not gummed) envelopes from sheet music pages out of vintage 1950's preparatory exercises for piano. They are printed on both sides, so the insides have interest as well. There is also some vintage handwriting on them, but that is part of their uniqueness.

They come with 10 white blank stickers for you to write any info/ address upon and wrapped with a ribbon.

This item is on sale!! I just kicked $3 off of it!

This rare and oh so retro 150 piece fully interlocking jigsaw puzzle From H-G Toys was made in the 1960's as part of the "American Folklore" series of puzzles. I found it in an antique shop in Lewes DE, but I've had my time with it, and now it's your turn! ;)

It is not missing any pieces, but a few of them are a little the worse for wear-- a couple of the little toggle ends have been bent or come off, but are also included. The tin lid has a nice dark patina, and the cardboard tube is in pretty good shape: There is a little bend, a place where a price tag once was stuck and a little torn bit near the top of the outer imagery.

Still great for your collection, as an awesome old toy to play with, or even for art/collage supply.

On the back is printed The Legend of Rip Van Winkle for your reading pleasure.

So adoreable--a petite, multicolored vintage etched cordial glass set.

An old neighbor of mine, who played in an underwater brassband gave these to me before moving to the southwest.

One of each color: blue, green, black, pumpkin, peach.

measurements:
2 1/4 ' tall and 1 1/8" diameter at the top.

The peach one is slightly larger and has a bit of a flared base, but they all have the same etchings. Amber waves of grain and polkadots, or something like that. ;)

This one-of-a-kind handpainted faux woodgrain on real wood mirror frame was made from materials entirely reclaimed/saved from a fate worse than death-- the Landfill.

The wooden mirror frame was found having been thrown into the trash. Even the paints were previously discarded and then resurrected. ok, so the screweyes were new. (sorry. not entirely reclaimed, ok?)... but the Wire is recycled from electrical refuse!

I can hand-knit you a wonderful fuzzy warm wool felted kitty cozy (cat bed), made using custom wool yarn of your choice, (double and triple strand for color modulation) and felted and then Blocked to hold it's shape.

Featuring any variegated color scheme. It's just waiting to be made for your feline friends to curl up in. It's a great bathing spot for them too!

SPECS:

100% wool yarn from my stash and from recycled and relaimed sources, you choose the colors ... OR ... you can provide me with your own worsted/ bulky wool yarn to use, for $60.00 instead.

Measurements- variable based on your preference, (Large measures Approx. 15-17" diameter and the sides have quite a bit of stretch/give. 3-5" deep when folded or upright, and when the fluting is folded in, the bottom is cozier, about 13" across. Large would fit one or two cats comfortably.)

It will take me approximately 2-3 weeks to finish, depending on whether you pick the fringed or the frilled edge. (the frill takes more yarn and loads more stitches...)

CARE AND FEEDING:

Wool is naturally water repellent. To care for your felted kittycozy, we recommend gentle spot cleaning or dry-cleaning only. Do NOT put your felted kittycozy in the washer or dryer (it will shrink down into a doll sized bowl). Felted kittycozys are made from natural wool fibers. These natural fibers may stretch over time.
Cleaning tip:
For lots of pethair, use a dry kitchen scubby sponge, the green ones are good to wipe the hair out. To wash, Hand wash cold and reshape over a large round serving plate or bucket to dry.

This VERY SOFT skinny-wide wool yarn was lovingly handdyed using many packets of koolaid as well as food coloring dyes (I find that the koolaid has quite enough acid on its own to dye very well and in my experience are just as colorfast). It features deep variations on Burgundy, Raspberry, Dusty Red, and Mauve with little hints of Mahogany, Orange & Purple here and there. All together a very warm, baked berrylike appearance.

The yardage is enough to make an adult-size hat, or maybe even a scarf and have some left over. The yarn is feltable.
