This pin was created completely on a whim, and the result had my eye captured for a long enough moment that time itself seemed to freeze. Thusly, I have named it Donna, after Donna Noble, companion to the 10th Doctor in the recent version of the Doctor Who series, and one of my favorite companions of the bunch (next to Rose Tyler, of course).

This piece would also go wonderfully well just holding a scarf closed, for anyone who just admires shiny things. ;)

Measurements: Approx 1 1/2" wide (3.81cm wide)

Materials: Brass pin base, AB peridot glass cabochon (14mm x 10mm), brass setting, and a glass peridot faceted "jewel" pendant, measuring 18mm x 13mm in a brass setting.

For a lovely touch, a series of ruby red glass droplets drape across the front (note: the actual necklace does not have pinch bails on droplets, but wire-strung red glass teardrops). This listing is for one custom-painted SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) award medallion on a blank 3/4" diameter ceramic medallion. Listing is for the medallion only - beaded chains for these medallions are also available upon request, at cost, depending on type and style.

The medallion listed above, the East Kingdom Order of the Maunche (Arts and Sciences award), is a SAMPLE.

Please specify which Order or award symbol you wish painted, along with a link to a photo or image of the Badge and its name if there is a name for it. These are limited pieces, and production time is based on a queue - first come, first served, for as long as I have blanks and time available.

This pin was created completely on a whim, and the result had my eye captured for a long enough moment that time itself seemed to freeze. Thusly, I have named it Donna, after Donna Noble, companion to the 10th Doctor in the recent version of the Doctor Who series, and one of my favorite companions of the bunch (next to Rose Tyler, of course).

This piece would also go wonderfully well just holding a scarf closed, for anyone who just admires shiny things. ;)

The Hours of Michelino da Bessozo is an historic Italian book of hours, richly decorated with beautiful floral themes, perfect for recreating as a gift for weddings, birth announcements, or tender occasions.

This is a custom piece, made just for you, on 8" x 10" acid-free unframed and unmatted paper. The text remains the same - the calligraphy style, names, and dates are entirely up to you.

LABOR:
I am able to begin work as early as **February 1st, 2010**, and production usually takes 6-8 weeks, without any changes involved beyond what information I am given at time of commission. Since this sort of work takes time, I cannot accept rush orders.

*MATERIALS:
Materials offered in this piece include:
Walnut ink, watercolors, gouache, calli brand red ink, 23kt patent genuine gold leaf on miniatum (gilder's adhesive). The artwork will be done on Arches 140# hot press watercolor paper (smooth finish, acid-free).

As a calligrapher with over 20 years of experience, I stand by my work, and have given this particular piece as a gift to my own brother and sister in-law for their wedding anniversary. These pieces do take time, and are researched and reproduced with modern materials.

Care and feeding:
To help make your artwork last longer, please take this to a professional framer and request an acid-free matte, UV glass, and do not hang it in direct sunlight.

Shipping is via US Priority Mail only. Sorry, no returns, trades, or exchanges.
Payment terms include either payment in full at time of ordering, or if you wish, 50% due at time of ordering with the balance due upon completion. Refunds are available for orders canceled within 7 days only, with written notice, however, a 20% fee will be assessed for any labor performed and materials used.
