To me, scarves are the ultimate accessory and this scarf is pure indulgence! It was knitted by hand with a luxurious, handpainted, 100% Superwash Wool bulky weight yarn. The scarf has a nice weight to it due to the bulky yarn and will be nice and warm, but soft around your neck. The width is somewhat variable because of the rib. It bunches up or can be stretched out more. It may stretch out more with use.

The colors in this scarf feature a classic mix of red and black, with grey and light purple.

The yarn is very soft. Because it is 100% Superwash Wool, you can feel free to machine wash it in the gentle cycle with a detergent appropriate for hand or gentle cycle washing. I prefer to handwash my hand-knitted items and lay flat to dry.

Let's begin by describing the yarn on this one. This is one of my favorite knitting yarns, a wonderful blend of 80% pima cotton and 20% merino wool. The perfect yarn for any season of the year. The yarn is very soft with nice loft and memory. The cotton won't stretch out because of the addition of the wool. The combination also gives nice stitch definition, which works out well with this lace pattern.

The scarf is my own design, a beautiful lace pattern I adapted from a sweater border. The scarf will roll slightly despite a border of garter stitch on each side.

All my scarves are hand knitted by me and are 100% brand new and never been worn by anyone.

Measurement: 8 in. x 80 in. (This scarf is longer than the others I have listed in this style -- this one is over 6 ft. long)

Machine washable in cold water on the gentle cycle, though I would recommend hand-washing and lying flat to dry.
