After a trip to England last spring, I had many photos that I took while touring various Castles and Churches. The carvings and gargoyles and statues were the inspiration for this piece. This is in fact an acrylic painting that has been done to look like a stone leaf carving. I enjoy the mythical, whimsical, magical nature in this series.

After a trip to England last spring, I had many photos that I took while touring various Castles and Churches. The carvings and gargoyles and statues were the inspiration for this piece. This is in fact an acrylic painting that has been done to look like a stone leaf carving. I enjoy the mythical, whimsical, magical nature in this series.

Title: "Stone Flower Three"

This painting is 5(wide) x 5(tall) inches.
It is painted on canvas stretched over wood. All the materials are recylcled. The painting has been signed and titled by me on the back, and it also has a small hanger.

The lines in the painting are raised and have a wonderful texture. The scan does not do it justice. The painting looks much richer in person.
