This collage consists of a black-throated trogon bird that I painted in watercolor. He is attached to a piece of 8 x 10 inch matte board, which has lovely yellow and orange detailing on the border. Most black-throated trogons like to sit still for long periods of time, remaining completely motionless. They have a diet consisting mainly of fruits. Won't you give this trogon a home?

This listing is for an original acrylic painting on wood measuring 9 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches by 3/8 of an inch. Beautiful purple flowers cascade through a deep, rich blue background, breaking through to the outside layer of bare wood. Makes for a very dramatic statement, yet is elegant enough for any room in the house. The paint on the flowers was built up using several light washes of acrylic paints in varying shades to give each petal a unique, distinctive look.
