This cross stitch chart is that of a witch hat, that represents October in the series. It is named after one of the alleged Salem Witches, Alice Parker. There are twelve in this series, each chart comes with clear instructions and chart, as well as little bit of historical backgroud on what went down with each alleged witch. It is meant to pay homage to these women and men who went through this experience.

This is a complete DIY cross stitch and fabric dying kit! The design reads, "first you stitch and then you dye" except in this case, first you dye, and then you stitch!! This Cross Stitch Chart reads: "you had me at hello"

This saying comes from one of my favorite movies, "Jerry McGuire." Let's just talk about Tom Cruise! I know many believe him to be crazy these days, but I simply do not care! Ah, Well. Anyway....Renée Zellweger's character has a stormy marriage with failing sports agent Jerry McGuire, and by the end of the movie they have all but called it quits. Tom (Jerry...) comes to his senses (finally) and comes to confess his love to her. He arrives at her sisters' house, where she is staying, only to be greeted by her sisters' support group of men-hating women. He launches in to plead his case, and when he is through, she says simply "you had me at HELLO!" Awww...! Now how could ya not take Tom ( I mean Jerry) after that!?

Model stitched on 35 count Friendship Clover from R&R, using Weeks, Sampler and Thread Gatherer Threads. We stitched it onto a cute plaid pillow from Trail Creek Farm.

This free form peyote cuff is a true one of kind piece. ALl the interwoven colors Pinks, fuschia, a touch of lime and textures of different beads... it reminds me of a springtime apple blossom.
With free form, even if I wanted to make two...I wouldn't even have the foggiest where to start! Made with all kinds of crystals, seed beads, gemstones, pewter and sterling beads too! Fits between 6 1/2" - 7 1/4", aka will fit most people!

Copper cuff.
Fits size 61/2" wrist with a sturdy snap fastener.

This bracelet is cross stitched with hand dyed threads on 18 count copper mesh. It is ridgid, yet bendable. The sides are finished with woven copper wire embelished with beads along the way. The sanp clasp is hidden behind a huge mother of pearl coin bead.

Very original. This bracelet was my model for a feature I did with Cross Stitch and Needlework Magazine September 2009 issue. She is famous!

The legend, the playground verse and the American folklore that are the murders of Andrew J. & Abby Borden have captivated the public for over 100 years. There are museums, Bed & Breakfasts, Web Sites, Books, Movies,...and now, a cross stitch dedicated to our fascination with Lizzie Borden.

This design came from a song I learned in Girls Scouts, maybe even Brownies...It is a blessing. While stitching this model I was rehearsing a production of "Oliver!" As the cast and crew watched the progress of my stitching over the weeks, they would sing to themselves, and to me, their version of the "Johnny Appleseed Blessing"...seems we all knew it, and all learned slightly different versions! How cool!!! We all grew up in different parts of the country and in many environments but everybody knew it! Who knew?!?! I believe the stories of a man nicknamed Johnny Appleseed to be a great American story, no matter what version you know.

Model was stitched on 36 count Roasted Crown blend from R&R using Sampler and Weeks threads.

"betweenLines" ~cross stitch chart~ with beads

"betweenLines" or rather, READ between the lines. Didn't get it the first time? That is ok, my husband didn't either... Although, like the design "outsideBox" (think outside the box), betweenLines supplies a pretty good reminder and message on its own even if you don't get it at first glance. Not such a bad thing to see on your wall every day! Stitch with one strand over one. The beads can be attached approximately 3 above the top left corner of stitched piece, in a line. These beads are optional. Model stitched on 20 ct. Jack-O'Lantern using Soy Luster threads from The Pure Palette. If you haven't used these threads, you are missing out. They are a treat. Lovely colors, great texture, wonderful to work with. Bead packs come with the chart as well.

"delay" Cross stitch chart
This Model was stitched on 32 count Hand Dyes Jobelan from Wichelt Imports. It is stitched with two strands over two. The design is 5 1/2"x 15 1/4" & the stitch count is 89(H)x244(w). We used The Thread Gatherer Silk'n'Colors. When stitching the flower make sure that the petals are stitched doing the border first, and then filling in working toward the center. That way they won't look like stripes! I think also that using hand dyed threads gives this piece nice dimension. If you choose to use DMC, pick your own colors! That way it will truly be YOURS!

Don't Delay Joy. What a concept. I saw this written somewhere this summer while attending a Bridal Shower that I dreaded going to. When I saw it, I thought it was a sign...ha! Anyway, it reminds me that I should not postpone doing the things that make me happy. Not easy to do. I had an aunt who I believe lived this way, we called her Alicey. When she died, at her funeral the pastor read from a letter that Alicey had left for the family giving instruction, information about where she was born, etc... and some comments. One of these was "I did what I liked and liked what I did." Which I believe to be true for her and I hope that I can live by that example. This 93-year-old farm girl aunt also said to me, "You suffer the consequences for the choices you make," so often that I hardly make any decisions that those words don't run through my head! Anyhow, this cross stitch is for her.

This peyote stitched lovely was inspired by another piece of mine, the prayer flags of chicken ridge. The "flags" are individually stitched fringed rectangles then strung on a multi strand necklace with complementary seed beads. pecan hill is looking for a home. Someone who loves and appreciates original, artful jewelry pieces, and doesn’t wait for the perfect occasion to show it off!

pecan hill is one of those pieces that I began not knowing what I was going to end up with. What will the finished piece be?! It is woven with delica 11 beads, sterling silver toggle and bead cones. pecan hill measures around 18". I would be more than happy to resize your necklace for your special requested length. Just give me a few extra days to accomplish that! I want it to be perfect for you.

I love peyote stitch as much as I love cross stitch, so special orders are more than welcome. Good to have a goal!

This is a DYI needlework kit that you stitch on screen. Nylon screen material that you get at the hardware store. The chart can be worked as a cross stitch or like needlepoint. The model was cross stitched. Kit comes with a clear chart and good instructions, beads to finish the piece and all the hardware to make the 'sandwich' frame for your finished piece. What could be easier? Plus how cool is it to finish something and then hang it immediately on your wall?! Threads used for the model are Caron Collection Watercolors and DMC #5 pearle cotton.
