Garnet Bracelet

$22.00
It could be because Valentine's Day is upon us, or because red berries are the only signs of plant life out in the snow, but I keep going back to garnets. I used loads of them to accent the lace beadweaving, which has 22kt white gold beads snaking all the way around. I used a stunning marcasite toggle clasp to finish it off. Findings are sterling silver.

The bracelet is 9" from end to end, so when worn it comes to about 8-8.5" around.

$20.00
This beadwoven beauty picks up on all the right colors for fall. Fresh orangy-yellow seed beads are set off with deep garnet seed beads and accented by larger garnet (real garnet!) rounds. A sterling silver toggle clasp inlaid with marcasite finishes off the piece.

Clasp included, it measures just shy of 9.5" long. If this is too large for your wrist, it might be perfect on your ankle, instead. It's stunning either way.

Green is the best color out there, and though I usually tend towards silver, I think the gold is what really makes the chrysoprase rounds "pop."

I read up on chrysoprase, since I didn't know anything about it, and it turns out that it's a highly prized type of quartz that owes its apple green color to traces of nickel. Delicious. (It also explains why they're so expensive!)

Bracelet is 9" from end to end, which means that it is about 8-8.5" when worn. It's bead embroidery, making use of plenty of garnets, pressed glass leaves, freshwater pearls, snail shells, a fish of stamped brass, and a vermeil frog. It's backed in suede bearing my initials. 16", including the vermeil clasp, which has an inlaid garnet.

This piece was created for the Etsy Beadweavers monthly challenge. The theme was "Indian Summer Dreams." You can see other entries in the Etsy Beadweavers Challenge by searching EBWC.
