Matryoshka Rabbits, Goats and Blooms- Nesting Egg Shaped Dolls

This is my eighth set of hand painted "Russian Rabbits" or nesting dolls. The actual egg shaped dolls were turned from wood in Russia, I drew the images with archival ink then painted and glazed them.

Largest one has a rabbit ridding a goat, giving a flower to another rabbit picking flowers. The next to largest has a rabbit and a baby goat looking at a butterfly. The middle doll has a rabbit picking flowers, and the nest to smallest has a rabbit on its back holding a flower. The smallest has pink and orange blooms.

Five dolls total, each opens and nests inside the larger doll except the last, smallest one, which does not open.

Entirely hand painted and one of a kind.

The largest egg doll is apx 3" diameter by 4.5" high (7.5 x 9.5cm) and the smallest is 1" (2.5 cm) tall.

I used a pearl glaze, so there is a pretty gold flecked sheen in the finish.

Note these have a particularly tight fit, and will be sent partially ajar for easy opening.

Dolls are signed on the bottom by the artist. Free USA shipping on this item.

Miss Gigi and her Three Ponies - One of a kind mobile sculpture

The elegantly dressed Miss Gigi leads her white pony in a circle around her with her gray spotted pony and black pony tethered behind him. This is a unique, one of a kind mobile sculpture.

Gigi's arm and waist moves, and the rope that ties each pony together creates an interesting and realistic action. Painted in blacks, whites and grays it's very decorative as well.

Each element of this mobile was made from from wire, paper mache, gesso and acrylic paint. It is sealed with a high gloss enamel. It hangs from nylon thread and steel arms with a free spinning barrel hook, so it can spin without ever getting tangled. The twine used to tether each pony is secure, but loose enough that it can be tweaked gently if desired.

This is a one of a kind handmade item, made for indoor use only. Although playful in nature, this item is a decorative art piece and not designed to be played with by children.

Gigi stands about 7" (17.5cm) high, and each pony is about 7" (17.5cm) long. The overall piece hangs down from the hook 24" (60cm) and is about 16" (40cm)wide overall.

This is a fun rainy day activity or something to do during a slow day at the office. It's also a fun gift item or way to entertain a group of creative kids. You can print the whole set or individual pages as needed. Print as many as you like!

You will need a printer (prints in black and white) paper and something to color with (not included). Heavier weight paper works best, however it will print out just fine on copy paper.

Images include; Rabbits playing with toys, rabbits with balloons and ice cream, a rabbit tucked in under a patterned quilt, rabbits ridding goats, a rabbit playing with butterflies, rabbits ice skating, rabbits playing with a wagon, rabbits in a boat, rabbits at the beach flying a kite, rabbits cooking in the kitchen, rabbits playing music, and rabbits trying to catch a bird.

This item will be sent via email as a pdf file, you will need adobe pdf reader to open it. (free download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/ ) The file has 13 printed pages. See last image for a low resolution example what four of the pages look like, your file will not have the large watermark and be of good printing quality. There is a tiny © info in gray at the bottom of each page, easy to color over.

You may print as many as you like for personal use, but reproduction and distribution of the file or finished coloring books including commercial purposes such as re-sale is not allowed. Please respect the artist's copyright.

These cards are 4" x 5.5" (10 x 13.75cm) and come with white envelopes. There is a small drawing of a rabbit on the back with my name and shop website, and they are blank inside.

You will receive 5 cards of this design with envelopes. Cards are sent in cardboard reinforced envelopes to prevent bending in transit.

Please note the spine (or fold) of the outside of the cards may have a tiny bit of the white from the paper it was printed on showing just along the edge. This is not considered a flaw, but just a result of the professional printing process.

A cute rabbit holding a bird-a unique pendant.

The bird is suggested by the cut out space in the center of the piece, making clever use of negative space. It looks great on either side.

Overall pendant size is approximately 1" x 2" (2.5 x 5 cm)and a little over .12" (3 mm) thick.

These pendants are made from beech plywood that was professionally laser cut, so there is a lot of subtle details and the edges are burnished black.

This pendant comes with a free black cord necklace 18" long with silver toned lobster clasp, so it is ready to wear. There is also a little heart-bird charm attached to the chain on the clasp.

Due to the nature of the material used, your pendant may differ very slightly in grain and color than the one shown.

Pygmy Billy Goat-Large animal wire sculpture

A happy, prancing pygmy billy goat.

This sculpture is made from one continuous stand of 17 gauge steel wire, bent by hand into a three dimensional shape. This wire is flexible but hard to bend. It is a large sculpture, nearly life sized (for a pygmy goat).

It is a hanging sculpture and does not stand, it comes with nylon rope for hanging. It has a nice movement, it rocks back and forth gently.

It can be displayed indoors or out, this steel wire weathers very well, but a yearly spray with a clear enamel will help protect it if hung outdoors year round. I have pieces made from this wire in Seattle that have been outside over 10 years with no sign of rust.

One of a kind.

Overall size apx 33" x 15" x 23" (82.5 x 37.5 x 57.5 cm)

Something a little different... Itzy the baby white bunny playing dress up. She has a pink dress, red hat, striped coat, top hat, moon and star pajamas and her blue elephant toy.

This is a one of a kind hanging sculpture of a dancer with two hoops.

This sculpture was made from steel wire, hand wrapped with tape and paper and painted and glazed many times. The dress was made from natural cotton twine, wrapped and crocheted. The final glaze is opalescent, so it has a gold like iridescent sheen in the light.

The figure is apx 5" x 4" x 8" (12.7 cm x 10 cm x 20.3 cm) she hangs from a 2.5" (6.25 cm)hoop from a spinning barrel clasp.

Although playful in nature, this item is a decorative art piece and not a toy, and should not be given to children.

A cute gray bunny holding a bird- wood pendant.

The bird is suggested by the cut out space in the center of the piece, making clever use of negative space.

This pendant was painted hand painted by me with acrylics on beech plywood that was professionally laser cut from my design. Only one side is painted, the other side is the natural wood. The painted side was glazed with a mica pearl glaze so it has gold tones in the light, then it was sealed with a clear satin varnish. Although water resistant, this item is NOT waterproof.

Overall pendant size is approximately 1" x 2" (2.5 x 5 cm)and a little over .12" (3 mm) thick.

This pendant comes with a free black cord necklace apz 16" (40 cm) long with silver toned lobster clasp, so it is ready to wear.

You will receive the pendant shown in the photo - hand painted and one of a kind.

This one of a kind mobile sculpture depicts a man leaping after a bird and holding on to one of it's claws, while another bird circles and flies around.

The free bird is designed to circle independently around the figure, and the whole sculpture spins freely. The one leg on the man moves, as well as the hold he has on the bird.

The person holding the bird is the largest element and is apx 18" high (45cm). The wing span of the free bird is about 6" (15cm)and from the hanging hook to the figure's toes it's about 35" (87.5 cm).

It was handmade from wire, tape, nylon thread, findings, acrylic paint and has an gloss varnish over the surface.The paint was brushed and rubbed on to the surface, so the surface is textured (not a solid black).

Although playful in nature, this item is a decorative art piece and not a toy, and should not be given to children.

Shy the Beagle - One of a kind marionette sculpture

A beagle named Shy, a one of a kind marionette sculpture. Her tail, ears and legs move independently. This sweet little hound is a charmer!

This piece is made from wire, paper mache, many layers of gesso, paint and glaze. She hangs from long nylon thread attached to a wire hanger. I made the thread extra long (18" or 45 cm), so it can be shortened if desired. The beagle alone is 6" x 2" x 6" (15 x 5 x 15cm).

She does lay down ok, but is designed to be a hanging piece. She is entirely handmade, and inspired by my own silly beagle named Turtle.

Although playful in nature, Shy is a decorative art piece and not a toy, and should not be given to children.

Remember learning about animation by drawing in the corner of your math text book little stick figures that you changed each page just a little, so when you flipped them the figure would dance?

Well, this fun flipbook animation features a fully drawn little rabbit and bird. The rabbit wakes up, sees his bird friend, and gives him a hug. Or if you flip it in reverse, little white rabbit lets go of the bird then takes a nap. Each page was originally hand drawn and shaded with watercolors.

This download is a great introduction to the world of animation, it's also a fun rainy day activity or something to do during a slow day at the office. It's also a fun gift item you can make and personalize.

You will need scissors, a printer (prints in black and white), paper, a stapler and crayons, pencils, or markers if you wish to color it (all not included).

This item will be sent via email as a pdf file, you will need adobe pdf reader to open it. (free download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/ ) The file has 5 printed pages with full instructions. The finished flipbook will have 32 pages. See last image for a low resolution example what the pages look like, your pages will not have the watermark (copyright) and be of good printing quality.

SPECIAL PRICE: Unfortunately this piece has some minor damage. After being improperly stored after shown in a gallery, the paper curled and creased on some of the edges, and one corner is torn/bent. Once framed you won't even notice, but I am offering this piece "as-is" at a special price. Please see additional images for condition. Original price was over $200.
