Layered over a tank or under pea coat, there really isn't anything better than a versatile jacket. In sunny yellow with pops of green, this jacket is my crafty take on this wardrobe staple.

Two rows of hexagons have been appliqued to the shoulders of this fun yellow jacket. First basted to sturdy canvas, hand-stitched together, the two rows were then machine stitched to the body of the jacket. The three fabrics are a pale green Asian print, a vintage reproduction, and a metallic African print. A group of four patches have been appliqued to the back left shoulder in the same vintage reproduction along with a geographic floral.

This hoodie is sized as a women's large with a fabric content of 95% cotton and 5% spandex. All fabrics have been pre-washed but the delicate cycle is best.

Using the English paper piecing method, I've appliquéd an eight pointed star onto the lower right back and 1 single diamond on the front. There really is nothing better than a hoodie to throw on--whether as a layer beneath a wool coat, to keep the summer evening goosebumps away, or with jeans on the weekend. Given what a staple it is, what could be better than to add a little individuality, a pop of embellishment?

This sky blue hoodie has been embellished using the English paper piecing method. A swathe of patchwork, first basted to sturdy canvas and then hand-stitched together, was added to the left shoulder, back & hem. The three fabrics used in this piece are a gold metallic (sun/sky), a floral (earth) and wave print (water.) The pale blue hoodie is the perfect backdrop for all of these elements. All are 100% cotton and fully machine washable.

Sized as a medium, measurements are provided below (all taken while laying flat):
Armpit to armpit: 18 inches
Waist: 14.5 inches
Sleeve: 25 inches
Shoulder to shoulder: 14.5 inches

This is a deadstock hoodie that shows some discoloration on the right sleeve and is priced accordingly.
