Vintage Pastel Cloth and Mug Mat Set

$7.00
Here's a very versatile set of cotton cloths. Plain and simple but so very handy to have around.

The 1st cloth is another of my simple diagonally knit cloths approximately 6 inches square, knit in garter stitch.

The 2nd cloth can be used as a mug mat or for those cleaning jobs that require a slightly smaller cloth. It is approximately 4 inches square and knit in garter stitch.

The yarn for this set is one of my favorite ombre colors and reminds me of softly faded vintage pastel colors. Warm and soft and oh so pleasant for tackling all your cleaning needs.

All my cloths are knit in a smoke-free home. I do have pets, but all possible care is taken to keep knits and pets as far away from each other as possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Facts I found on the internet:
IF the entire population of Indiana used and discarded only ONE (1) paper towel per WEEK, it would equal 3,359 TONS of paper in 1 YEAR that CANNOT be recycled. By comparison, the average family sedan weighs around 2 TONS (4,000 pounds)
Use cloths or rags for dusting and cleaning instead of paper towels. Doing so can help save the 27 million trees used each year to make paper towels!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every day the words Recycle, Reuse, Reduce come at us from every direction. Sure you can recycle and reuse some things, maybe even most things. But don't forget that last word - REDUCE!!!

Reducing your use of disposable items that take up room in already over-flowing landfills REDUCES your impact on your environment.

Yes, the growing and harvesting of cotton, along with many other "natural" fibers, uses other equally vital resources also in diminishing supply. But if you spill something and need to clean it up, the odds are that grabbing a washable, re-usable cotton cloth will have a lot less impact on this planet than grabbing that paper towel.

For less than the price of 1 or 2 rolls of landfill-clogging paper towels that will be used in the twinkling of an eye, this simple knit cotton cloth will out-clean and out-last many, many rolls of paper towels.

100% cotton yarn is durable and, with only a tiny bit of care, this cloth will last for years. Just like your favorite jeans, the cloth will become softer and more absorbent after repeated washing. They are easy to wash too, just throw them in with the rest of your towels or other laundry. No special handling required.

I have been knitting cloths like this for my own use for years and not one is even the least bit worse for wear. I use mine to not only clean myself but my bathroom, and worse still, my craft room. I haven't had to discard 1 knit cloth yet. That’s more than I can say for even the strongest paper towel.

Royal Treatment Cotton Scrubbie

$2.00
Soft shades of lavender, blue, green and white make you feel like royalty. After all the color purple has always been the color of royalty throughout history.

A cotton scrubby is so much nicer for washing your face than a loofah or scrub brush, especially for those with more sensitive skin or for using on babies or children. It has all the exfoliating properties but is much less harsh.

The scrubby is approximately 2.5 inches across. Please note that the item listed is ONLY the Scrubby, the cloth and mitt are listed separately.

I am using another one of these for myself and even after daily use for many months the yarn has softened nicely and faded only slightly with use. They just get better with age, and should last for alot longer.

The Royal Treatment Knit Cotton Spa Mitt

$5.00
Experience a royal spa bath treatment fit for a king, or queen, with this bath mitt.

Hand-knit bath mitt in a luxurious 100% cotton yarn makes every bath or shower feel like a spa experience. Soft shades of lavender, blue, green and white make you feel like royalty. After all the color purple has always been the color of royalty throughout history.

The cotton yarn in this mitt is strong yet soft and will only get softer and more comfortable with use. It is machine-washable and dry-able. There may be shrinkage the first time or two you wash it, but that should be minimal. Because it is knit, you might want to wash it in a gentler wash cycle but no special care is really needed.

The mitt should fit the average ladies hand at 8 inches from finger tip to wrist. The hand in the picture is my own and my hands are small. Please note that the item listed is ONLY the Mitt, the scrubby and mitt are listed separately.

So you like this bath mitt, but these aren't your favorite colors? Not a problem! Just convo me with your color preferences and I can make a bath mitt just for you. I have many colors in my stash, and can get many more.

Digitalia Watercolor Fine Art Print 10 x 8 - Mission Courtyard

Named for a 15th century theologian and "warrior priest" who resided in the Abruzzo region of Italy, San Juan Capistrano has the distinction of being home to the oldest building in California still in use, a chapel built in 1782; known alternately as "Serra's Chapel" and "Father Serra's Church," it is the only extant structure wherein it has been documented that the padre officiated over mass. One of the best known of the Alta California missions (and one of the few missions to have actually been founded twice — others being Mission San Gabriel Arcángel and Mission La Purísima Concepción) — the site was originally consecrated on October 30, 1775 by Father Fermín Lasuén, but was quickly abandoned due to unrest among the indigenous population in San Diego."

[Source: Mission San Juan Capistrano, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mission_San_Juan_Capistrano&oldid=211507836 ]

This is one in a series of several photographs I took on the grounds of La Misión de San Juan Capistrano de Sajavit, or The Mission of Saint John Capistrano of Sajavit. This is a view from one of the courtyards within the confines of the mission walls.

I took the original digital photograph using a Nikon D70. I used a series of photographs of places of interest and beauty in the Southern California area to teach myself not only digital photography but Photoshop as well. Basically it was always - Gee, I wonder what would happen if I did...?

Specifications:
Size - 10 x 8 - Landscape Aspect
Printed using Archival Quality Artistic Inkjet Watercolor Style Paper and Archival Quality Inks

These earrings currently hang from french ear wires but can be put on the earring findings of your choice at no additional charge. Just let me know the findings you want, even clip earrings.

The earrings dangle approximately 1 inch from the top of the wrapped loop to the bottom of the headpin finial, with the ear wires adding approx 3/4 inch to that. Changing earring findings may change the overall length of the earrings.

A Bib for the Young Gentleman - Knit Cotton Bib

$5.00
If you would like to have a bib without cute or cuddly or sweet, without the dancing bears and smiling suns - this bib is for YOU and your young gentleman.

A simple, sophisticated bib in a green, brown and cream ombre will show the world what a fine young man you have. 100% cotton bib is knit in garter stitch with a ribbed border at the neck to keep it in place under the gentleman's chin. There are no buttons or velcro or any other fastening on the strap. The ends are knit together at an angle so you can get it on and off your young man easily. The cotton yarn can be washed and dried with all his other cloths and demands no special care.

While this is my 1st knit bib, I have been knitting cloths for ages. I have my own collection I use regularly and they seemed destined to last forever! If one of my cloths can stand up to cleaning me, my craft room or my bath room, I think it can stand up to any mess your fine young man might throw at it and still look great.

Much like the knit cleaning cloths, the bib will become softer and more absorbent with frequent use. There may be some small percentage of shrinkage after the 1st wash and the colors will soften some with washing but this bib will look good for a long time to come.

So, you like the idea of a 100% cotton hand knit bib, but these are the colors you wanted? NO Problem, just take a look at my Clean Up Your Act section for a small taste of what colors and patterns I have. Or send me a convo of the colors you would like!!!

By comparison, the average family sedan weighs around 2 TONS (4,000 pounds)

Use cloths or rags for dusting and cleaning instead of paper towels. I see these with a nice black suit or that little black dress that is just dying for a spark of interest. Show 'em your wild side!

The bicone, mahogany obsidian oval and black obsidian square are strung on an antique silver-color headpin suspended by a wrapped loop from antique silver-color, hypo-allergenic french ear wires.

As with nearly all my earrings, these can be changed to the findings of your choice, even clip findings. However, the antique silver color of these ear wires is not generally available in a wide variety of styles.

Please let me know if you would like the findings changed and your style preference so I can see if I can find it in this color. If you do not have a preference as to the color of the findings - bright silver substituted for the antique silver color - please let me know as well.

This is a calm and peaceful corner within one of the arcades that surround the courtyards on the mission grounds.

I do have pets, but all possible care is taken to keep knits and pets as far away from each other as possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Facts I found on the internet:
IF the entire population of Indiana used and discarded only ONE (1) paper towel per WEEK, it would equal 3,359 TONS of paper in 1 YEAR that CANNOT be recycled. By comparison, the average family sedan weighs around 2 TONS (4,000 pounds)
Use cloths or rags for dusting and cleaning instead of paper towels. Doing so can help save the 27 million trees used each year to make paper towels!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

But if you spill something and need to clean it up, the odds are that grabbing a washable, re-usable knit cotton cloth will have a lot less impact on this planet than grabbing that paper towel.

For less than the price of 1 or 2 rolls of landfill-clogging paper towels that will be used up in the twinkling of an eye, this simple knit cotton cloth will out-clean and out-last many, many rolls of paper towels.

$10.00
What can I say - I am addicted to polymer clay faux beads. I have made amber before (see http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5557470), but I still wanted more.

There are a total of 20 beads - 4 round and 16 spacer beads. The round beads are 13 mm-14 mm around. The spacer beads are approximately 12 mm-15mm around and approximately 4mm-6mm thick. These were deliberately rough-shaped for a more primitive hand-hewn look. The beads are pictured temporarily strung on memory wire and will arrive bagged.

The clay formula was mixed by me and cured to manufacturer's specifications. The beads were then given a coat of acrylic to protect them and give them a polished shine.

$10.00
This is one in a series of several photographs I took on the grounds of La Misión de San Juan Capistrano de Sajavit, or The Mission of Saint John Capistrano of Sajavit. This is a small alcove near the outer mission walls. I am not sure at what time in the mission's history this was built but the adobe column could date back to the early mission era. Sitting in this alcove it is difficult to believe there is a very busy highway just the other side of the wall behind you. That's the beauty of adobe!

From Wikipedia:

"Mission San Juan Capistrano was founded on All Saints Day November 1, 1776 by Spanish Catholics of the Franciscan Order.

There will be some shrinkage the first time or two you wash it, but that should be minimal. Because it is knit, you might want to wash it in a gentler wash cycle but no special care is really needed.

The mitt should fit the average ladies hand at 8 inches from finger tip to wrist. It is not lined but the bag is knit quite tightly to make sure even the smallest items won't slip out.
