this is a vintage Herman Kay 100% wool coat jacket. the tag says 7/8 but it was huge on me and i am a 12. it has been re-cut and altered so the collar can be pulled up with an additional button to fasten for a chill wind! the new button is vintage to match the original. sleeves are unrolled in pics and are slightly belled. the sleeves were originally made to be rolled so whichever works for you! the coat has 2 deep pockets and is fully lined.

this is a slick crushed panne velveteen slink skirt in wine. this is really beautiful fabric.... very stretchy and soo soft. it has a great drape with lots of contrasting sheen especially in motion.

it has an elastic waist 26" unstretched - relaxed
40 stretched (this is hard to measure since the fabric is so stretchy)
the length is 23".... 26.5" on the sides where it drapes.
laid flat it measures 21" across at hip (7" from waistband) but stretches easily to 25" +

100% poly velveteen/velour. machine wash and dry gentle.
size medium (the model wears a slightly smaller size so it doesn't fit her as as tight as it would fit someone who is a medium)

Persian and Flemish Folklore

Long, long ago, the first people began life as a double tree. The gods separated the two trees, gave them souls, turned the branches into arms and legs, and made the crowns into heads filled with the gift of knowledge. Other trees also wanted to become people. They tried, but didn’t make it. However, some of their leaves, like sassafras', are shaped like human hands, showing our link to trees.

History of Sassafras:

About 1512, Ponce de Leon and his shipmates were looking up and down Florida coast searching for the "Fountain of Youth." They didn't find it, but discovered very purposeful for the time - Ponce and his followers discovered Sassafras.

Sassafras soon became a sort of sulfanilamide-penicillin-streptomycin to the folks in Europe. Soon the whole ocean was swarming with Sassafras seekers. Sir Walter Raleigh, Champlain, Captain Smith, Winthrop, Martin Pring and William Penn just to name a few. Sassafras helped shape the history of the world.
