Like the warmth of a beanie but want to dress it up a bit? Then this 20's style flapper hat is just what you are looking for. A simple head hugging rolled brim beanie style is given a feminine touch with a flower complete with a bead in the centre and spiral shaping of the crown.

Made from machine washable 100% pure wool and is a one size fits most. It measures 19 cms (7 1/2 inches) from the base to the top and just covers the ears, this can be made shorter or longer if needed.

This one is a nice bright purple with a black flower and finished off with a purple bead in the centre of the flower. However if you would like a different colour and/or flower contact me and I can custom make a hat especially for you.

Gorgeous hippy chicks with flowing hair often seen with musicians and artists from the 60's and 70's were the inspirations behind many creative works from that era, they also inspired me to create the Muse Hat.

I can't guarantee that you will inspire great works but you will look pretty groovy in this little number.

The next step after purchasing the yarn is the inevitable question of "what to make". I too found myself asking this question so sat down with my yummy new handspun and needles and created the Marble Scarf pattern.

Approximately 200 grams or 370 metres of DK handspun yarn is needed for this project, however you can easily use whichever weight you have just alter needle sizes to suit.

It is knit in two sections and grafted in the centre and requires knowledge of cable and lace knitting, suitable for an average knitter or a beginner who is looking for a bit more of a challenge.

I saw a crocheted beret in an old 1970's pattern book and thought that with a few changes it could become a nice stylish hat suitable for todays fashions. Well it got one big change, from crochet to knit, simply because I cannot crochet!

Purl beret is the end result. It has a band of pattern around the lower part of the beret and the rest is knit entirely in purl stitch making it slightly different from other knit berets.

Purl Beret measures approximately 57 cms (22 1/2 inches) around the brims circumference and 19 cms (7 1/2 inches) from the crown to the bottom of the brim.

A black cloche style beanie with spiral shaping of the crown in black with a deep crimson red flower with matching black centre and made with machine washable Australian pure wool. Measuring approximately 18cms (7 inches) from the crown to the brim and 44cms (17 inches) in width this will fit a 1 to 2 year old toddler.

These hats can be made in all sizes from prem babies right through to adults so if you would like a different colour or size contact me and I can make you a custom made hat.

Delicious creamy ice cream in a hat for babies, looks good enough to eat! A waffle cone brim topped with folds of smooth vanilla ice cream and of course with a cherry on top. This one is made to fit a baby 3 - 6 months and measures approximately 36 cms (14 inches) in circumference and approximately 14 cms (5 1/2 inches) from the base to the crown, unstretched.

This handknitted cap is made from machine washable 100% pure wool and is suitable for any occasion or climate as it will keep the cold out and the hot sun off your face. It will fit an average sized head but can be made smaller or larger if preferred and is suitable for both males and females. The brim is made of double knit layers which eliminated the need for plastic lining.

The colour of this one is muskstick pink but if you would like it in a different colour contact me and I can make a custom brimmed cap especially for you. Pompoms can be added and contrast brims also look very nice

Gorgeous hippy chicks with flowing hair often seen with musicians and artists from the 60's and 70's were the inspirations behind many creative works from that era, they also inspired me to create the Muse Hat.

I can't guarantee that you will inspire great works but you will look pretty groovy in this little number.

Made from 100% wool, from Bendigo Woollen Mills in Victoria, this one will fit most and is made to be a head hugging fit. It measures approximately 18cms (7 inches) from the base to the top and approximately 56cms (22 inches) in circumference.
