A note about vintage jewelry: Vintage is previously worn jewelry and is not perfect. I try to point out any major flaws. All will have "some" wear to it.
I don't generally clean vintage jewelry finds unless they truly need it...........I leave it to your descretion whether or not you want to use a jewelry cleaner or soapy water.
When it comes to packaging your jewelry I always wrap items in tissue and either box them or bubble wrap them. I'm always recycling packaging materials. So while your package may not always be "pretty", your jewelry will be wrapped and well protected for shipping.
