Sterling Silver: alloy (.925 silver, .075 copper). Sterling is strong and versatile, the workhorse of my repertoire!
Fine Silver: pure silver (.999). I love fine silver because it doesn’t tarnish and has the most beautiful, lustrous, white color. However, it is very soft, so I often use it in conjunction with sterling silver.
Shibuichi: a pearly pinkish alloy (usually .750 copper and .250 silver but I sometimes like to experiment with different ratios).
Copper: orange-red metal that can be treated with a variety of patinas for lovely finishes.
Brass: yellow alloy of copper and zinc (ratios variable). Brass deepens to a sexy dark gold color as it tarnishes and this is one of the reasons I love it!
