Hi! Welcome to DCM Designs on Etsy. Here you will find high quality handmade jewelry. I taught myself beadwork over 12 years ago because I couldn't find jewelry I liked. I wanted something that no one else would have and things that were not "fine" jewelry. After taking up beadwork I decided to learn to incorporate metal work into my pieces so I took a couple of intensive classes at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN. Wonderful school. I learned many fine techniques in cold joins, soldering, all kinds of fabrication and torch-fired enamelling from Debra Lynn Gold and Marjorie Simon.
My materials run the gamut except I do not use plastic unless it's vintage. I try to incorporate unusual things into my designs as often as possible. I like a bit of whimsy and serendipity. I hope you do too.
