On May 4th 2009, POSH Pads LLC was named one of the top new companies by Startup Nations "Leading Moms in Business 2009" Competition. Thousands of business run by moms just like us entered. The top 200 list was announced on Monday and we took 5th place! We are very excited and want to "Thank" each and everyone of our clients for helping make this happen without you and our family and friends not of this would have been possible. We've been blessed this past year both personally and professionally and this was a great achievement for our company.
We are honored to be participating in "Operation Shower" which honors mothers-to-be that have deployed spouses. On Mother's Day 2009, 50 women will be given a Baby Shower at Fort Hood, Texas and Fort Scott, IL. They'll be celebrated for their soon-to-arrive bundles of joy and "Thanking" them for the daily sacrifices they make to keep us and our country safe! We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful event. Each new mom will receive many goodies, among them, a set of POSH Pads. Also in production is our partnering with the La Leche League in Mesa,AZ. They will deliver 100 Breastfeeding Baby Bags for Banner Gateway Medical Center. We've all received the diaper bags full of formula and bottle-feeding accessories. NOW new moms will get to take home goodies for all of us who choose to BREASTFEED! How cool is that? No more wasted formula sitting in the cabinet (this will save waste). This will help get these moms and babies off to a healthy breastfeeding start. Our POSH Pads were gifted in the VIP Celebrity Lounge at "LA Baby & Tween" Celebration Apr.25-26.
These are just like our original POSH Pads, very fashionable, but totally earth friendly. All of the layers are organic. The top layer is a designer material made by 2 well known artists and are well known for their earth friendly fabrics. The first being Harmony Susalla, a modern fiber designer who switched to organics because of her social and environmental consciousness, you'll love this fabric. Made of 100% organic cotton grown and woven in India and printed in the US with fiber-reactive low-impact inks and dyes in accordance with the OTA Fiber Processing Standards. Our other artist/company is Plover Organics. The organic cotton in Plover's linens comes from non-genetically engineered seeds grown in soil that is free of pesticides, herbicides or other cytotoxins--keeping those poisons away from those you love and out of the ecosystem.
