The miniature sculptures on this page are all hand-crafted using silver wire, broken guitar strings, nail polish and finishing enamel, all materials are recycled and were trash bound. I developed this technique about five years ago when I, on a whim, unwound half of the wire from a guitar string, looped the still-wound section, and drew a spider-web across the loop with the unwound wire. A small trapped insect, whose wings I later painted in with nail polish, followed. Each sculpture is entirely unique, meticulously detailed (often beyond what the pictures reveal) and will not age.
