There is beauty to be captured on the lonely prairie in windmills, hay bales in rank and file, and ice. There is stubborn pride in objects that have seen better days such as old airplanes, random peeling paint, and old Chevys. Even antique Christmas ornaments. There is joy in beautifully plated food; nothing escapes me and I never ask anything to say cheese. My favorite photographs find their destiny in mixed media on canvas: black and white images colored with walnut ink, acrylic and watercolor. My other passions in art are sterling silversmithing, upcycling old jewelry, altered/assemblage, and paper arts. Since I'm mostly self-taught the results can be thrilling or annoying, or both.
