THINGS WITH WINGS. If I could hone down my day dreams, my creative urges, my random ponderings into a phrase, that would be it; things with wings. I will likely never grow wings and flit about in the tree tops. I will never feel the wind pulling at my own feathers. I will never circle and soar or dip and dive, but I can imagine and pretend as I make things with wings. So I do. If this odd explanation of my art process doesn't leave you tongue tied, what will? Aside from my obsession with flight, I am also curious about our relationship with the past and future. I am drawn to items with a past, not just from-factory-to-store items, but things that have belonged to others and lived secret unknowable lives before they came my way. I like to create with these items. I believe it not only injects my work with meaning and dimension, but also allows me to contribute in a small way to the conservation of our planet's precious resources. Before I fly off in yet another direction, I hope you enjoy my work and return again soon.
