Welcome to Dirty Ankle Pottery All the pottery on this site is hand-crafted and designed by myself. Some of the items are thrown on a potter's wheel, others are hand-built. I craft from red earthenware, stoneware and raku and other items from nature.
My interest in archeology opened up the area of pottery. So much of our human past, our interactions within communities, our art and decorations, our desire to travel and expand, our progression has been learned by the discoveries of pottery.
