Established in 1924, the Greater Baltimore Urban League is one of Baltimore's oldest community- based organizations devoted to empowering African Americans to enter the economic and social mainstream. Through direct services, advocacy, research, policy analysis, community mobilization, collaboration and communications, we actualize our mission to empower communities and change lives.
The Greater Baltimore Urban League has partnered with Meditrina Designs, a San Francisco-based jewelry design company, to help raise funds to support the Greater Baltimore Urban League. A portion of each jewelry sale will be donated to the Greater Baltimore Urban League to support its programs and initiatives.
Meditrina Designs is named after Meditrina, the Roman Goddess of Health and Healing. The name is symbolic to the artist who started her jewelry business in response to a serious illness, and the corresponding need to create a new life and career that she could work around her daily health issues. Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted with the highest quality gemstones and precious metals. The work has been featured on Molly Sims, Hayden Pantierre, Kelly Ripa in OK Magazine, Entertainment Tonight, and Hollywood Insider.
