“The driving force behind each creation is laughter and how that manifests itself in daily life. I like to observe people and their reaction to the pieces I wear, challenging at the same time the idea of how things appear and conceived in a unconscious state of mind.” In order to achieve her visions, she is combining “fiber elements” such as yarns, fabrics and other embellishments that wouldn’t make any sense otherwise.She finds a great pleasure in re-using materials as a small contribution not to anarchy but to recycling instead, although there is some sense of anarchy in their conceptual idea and construction per se.
“Elsahats” was created in 2003 in Philadelphia, PA and is now operating mainly online from Greece. Some of her work is currently dispalyed in "Whitebox" in Athens, Klip/Perikleous 56,Holargos-ATHENS, “Lola Mundo” in Thessaloniki and at "Petradi", Greece.
