I designed a doll papoose, now included in the book Growing Up Sew Liberated by Meg McElwee.
My dolls have evolved greatly over time, and it is always a surprise to see them come to life.
Many of my design ideas come as requests from my children, i.e. a weighted baby doll.
Over the years I have created many dolls, but have only kept one for me: Eva.

My dollsmithing journey

Hi!

My name is Fabiola and I am the dollmaker behind Fig&Me Natural Dolls. Dollmaking became a true passion for me, when I created a doll for my daughter back in 2008. Now I work full time as an artist, teacher and fabric enabler.

I started creating dolls in October 2008 and I haven't stopped. I made my first doll for my oldest daughter's third birthday and decided to pursue dollmaking professionally. I am now on a great dollsmithing journey, so thank you for being part of it. It is extremely nourishing for me to be able to see my dolls come to life, and to see them in the hands of so many people, who love them and play with them on a daily basis.
