Using textile materials, I create figures, (particular human) and objects; I employ textile techniques as tailoring, sewing and crocheting as sculptural techniques, rather than their traditional use.
The selection of materials used in each figure or object is a top priority. I work mainly with fabrics that are recycled such as old bedding, clothing, and socks. The wear-and-tear of these fabrics adds another dimension to the work and some vestigial essence of previous owners. In some way they, tell another chapter in the stories I interweave.
