ANNOUNCEMENT: I am sorry to say my lovely kitty did not make it. He gave up last night; we took him to the vet for the last time, this morning. I will continue to honor the buy-anything-get-a-free-bar-of-scratch-and-dent soap sale through 1/4/10, and thank you all for your help and support.

12/28 to 1/04 VET BILL SCRATCH AND DENT SALE:

As some of you know, I have a very elderly kitty. We are attempting to make him comfortable, but with the tightening economy this year, even his moderate vet bills are getting the best of us.

So: if you have been thinking about a Hippie Goo or soap or jewelry purchase, I am making the following offer for the next week: a free bar of Scratch and Dent soap with any purchase you make. The soap is perfectly fine, but the wrapper may be a bit discolored or dinged up. Shipping costs will remain the same to you; I will pick up any extra freight. And every single cent will go into Miro's vet bills.

I'm an artisan, a crafter, a soapmaker....I like to think of it as diverse and artistic. My mother calls it dilettante.

I spend most of every summer travelling around New England selling my wares at Renaissance Faires, pagan events, and charities that involve cats. :) I've been doing this for several years now, and have managed to learn to load and unload several hundred pounds of equipment into a minivan whilst wearing a corset.

I take great yankee pride in making products that behave exactly as advertised--good soap, sturdy pretty jewelry, skin healing goo. I want things to work and to last--which is why I take great pride in making a longlasting soap, in having used my jewelry wire to tow a car, and that my goo actually makes inroads on eczema and psoriasis. (It's handy having entire faires to test thing on--coming within ten feet of my booth usually means you get smeared with SOMETHING.)

SHIPPING:

We generally ship the cheapest possible method, which is USPS. Shipping materials are usually a manila envelope, cobbled-together cardboard protectors, and possibly shredded junk-mail stuffing. It's not elegant, but it is green as possible and gets your product to you. I will ship overseas, but it will cost more on a case by case basis. I ship on Tuesdays, also Fridays if traffic warrants it.
