Antique buttons lovingly transformed into nostalgic jewelry! Love, Yesterday antique button jewelry offers eclectic handcrafted jewelry without damaging the buttons. All my work is handmade one at a time, from start to finish in my studio workshop. I mainly use antique buttons which date before 1918 which makes the pieces that much more unique with the rarity of the buttons used!
The buttons are gently restored using museum and NBS approved products and techniques before they find a home in a piece, taking great care to keep the aged patina. Each piece of jewelry is built around and inspired by the individual button used.
I have collected buttons for over 10 years as a society member from the national level to the local level, so it is important to me that I offer button jewelry in which the buttons HAVE NOT BEEN DAMAGED in anyway. This allows the buttons to retain their full historic and monetary value as well as gives YOU the ability to own true heirloom pieces.
Antique buttons are defined as being created before 1918.
Vintage buttons are defined as being created between 1918 and 1990 (20 years ago).
