I hand paint on wooden items, showing my social commitment by employing Special-needs people in carpentry work. Another way to show my social caring, is by locating my studio in a neighborhood inhabited by Ethiopian Jews, newcomers to Israel. I rent the space from my town's municipality,together with a friend http://www.etsy.com/shop/risseroff, instructing local kids in art work. The name Kanaf- Wing in Hebrew, stands for my hope to fly high through giving and love.

I began by drawing and painting on my grandchildren's furniture, and found it very rewarding. My Etsy shop is new and I am still learning how to improve it. Comments are welcome.

The wooden items are hand painted in oil-paint. Each piece is one of a kind and signed. All may be disassembled for easy shipping and storage. Many of my items are restored and re-painted old and used furniture, thus helping save our green world.
