Welcome to the dreamy and curious kingdom of Arx Rosarum!

In my designs, I use both contemporary and vintage materials.

My vintage glass stones, cameos, decal cabochons and beads were mostly made in West Germany, Czechoslovakia and Japan during 1940-1960's. Some are even older, some slightly younger. Vintage components can have tiny imperfections such as slight clouding, scratches and small variations in size and color. In my opinion, that just adds to the charm!

I use only top quality metal parts. Almost all of them are made in USA with vintage dies. Some of the designs have been in production for over 100 years! The base metal is raw brass, steel (some chains only) or pewter (some clasps only). They have been professionally plated with antiqued brass, antiqued silver, antiqued copper or some other special finish, and sealed with non-toxic lacquer for long lasting beauty.

All metal parts are lead and cadmium free. All of them are also 100% nickel free, except surgical steel which contains always small amounts of nickel, but in a form which often doesn't cause an allergic reaction (that's why it's called hypoallergic); and some silver finishes which may have very minor traces of nickel, but still stay under nickel free standards.

If you have very sensitive skin, I recommend nioubium hooks. Being physically inert metal, it is practically non-allergenic. If you would like to upgrade to any earring hook option which isn't available on the listing page, please convo me.

All items are crafted and packed in smoke and pet free home.

♥ CARE INSTRUCTIONS ♥

Delicate by its nature, costume jewelry should be used with love and care. Follow these instructions to keep your jewelry in great condition for many coming years! (This applies to most fashion jewelry, not just Arx Rosarum's items.)

• Do not swim, bathe or sleep with your jewelry.
• Protect your jewelry from chemicals (eg. hair spray, perfumes, creams) and humidity. They can damage the sealing, rust steel chains, darken patinas and cause corrosion (that green thing) on brass.
• If your jewelry gets wet, wipe it with a towel and let it dry in an open space.
• Store your jewelry in dry boxes and prevent them from scratching each other.
• Keep your jewelry away from small children and pets.

♥ ABOUT THE MEASUREMENTS ♥

I use a life-size mannequin to give a quick size reference. She has a rather thin neck (about 32cm / 12.5"), so the necklaces may hang higher depending on your own neck width.

I always give the measurements like the item was worn. This means earring length including earwire and necklace length clasp closed.

To try at home, compare to your own jewelry or for example, cut a similar length from a thread and try on.

I also always include the weight of the earrings. If you have a scale, you can compare how much your own earrings weigh. Everybody has their preferences, but here is a chart to give you the general idea:

1 g = lightweight (casual)
2 g = ordinary (casual)
3 g = substantial (special occasions)
4 g = heavy (special occasions)
