The Maitres de l'Affiche (1896-1900) Posters that I am selling at Authentic Posters were all collected by my husband and I on our business travels to France, England, New York, and L.A.
They were a "treat" for us after a long day of work.
We just loved that they were printed on such fine art paper and that the printing itself is of such high quality.
The original billboard street posters that are still available are often damaged and it is very expensive to linen back them.
Who can afford "original" art nouveau posters?
Who can even afford to frame one of these huge pieces?
And even if your answer to these questions is "I can"... then how many can you hang before you run out of wall space?

Our "lovelies" have been museum archived since we purchased them.
We framed and hung quite a few in our home and at my shop; but we kept buying more in the hopes of getting a bigger place. Well, they are so lovely; we couldn't resist.

Now that we are in our mid sixties, we want to make sure that these authentic works of art get homes where they will be enjoyed and cared for in the years to come.
