Ever since I can remember I have always had the need to create. I recall first learning to knit when I was in elementary school. My mom taught me a basic stitch and I fell in love with the craft. Since then I have branched out and taught myself many new techniques. It is so relaxing and fun to experiment with new stitches and patterns.

My creativity comes in bursts. I get my inspiration from artwork, nature, and fashion. Once I have an idea in my head I am like a machine. Everything else fades away and I am determined to make my ideas concrete. For my photographs, nature plays a huge role. I love to be outside and love to incorporate nature into each item's photography.

Many of you may wonder how I came up with my shop name. I have been asked if I am part of a duo named Autumn and Amber. No, my name is Kristina and I am a one woman show. Autumn has always been inspirational to me. I am in love with the colors of the season and the crispness in the air during fall. Amber is also very important to me. My mom and grandma have always had a special love of Amber and that has rubbed off on me. When I think of amber I automatically think of them. So there you have it.

I owe a special thank you to my husband who has been a huge supporter of mine. He is my main photographer, he deals with the scraps of yarn, beads, and buttons that are sprinkled throughout our home, and he has even reluctantly voluneered to be one of my models.
