Payment

I accept direct checkout, as well as Paypal or credit card through Paypal (you don't have to have an account with Paypal, just click the Paypal button when you go through the checkout and look for the link to pay with your credit card).

Shipping

Artwork: Your painting/drawing will be shipped on the day that payment clears (or the next working day) and will be carefully wrapped, using foamboard, cardboard or bubblewrap, plus a padded or cardboard envelope (or normal stationery envelope for ACEOs). Large paintings will be sent rolled in a strong tube. (The tubes I use are quite heavy, so, unfortunately, postage costs for those paintings are fairly high. Also, generally only one picture will fit a tube, so there is no reduction for 'with another item' postage for these paintings - sorry about that. If it is possible to send items together in a tube I will refund any extra postage that you've paid.)

Scarves: Knitted items will be wrapped in tissue, and packed in a polybag for waterproofness and a padded envelope.

For international shipping I will use Royal Mail international airmail for small items (with proof of posting) or Royal Mail 'tracked and signed' for larger ones. For postage inside the UK I will use first class mail (with proof of posting) or Special Delivery.

There are no customs duties on fine art for buyers in the EU and USA. For elsewhere in the world, you may need to check on your country's custom duties, as the buyer is liable for any customs duties and import taxes.

Outer packing may be recycled but is clean (used previously for manuscripts or books only). Also, my workroom is smoke-, pet- and perfume-free.

Additional policies and FAQs

I use only good quality materials for my paintings: professional-grade oil or acrylic colours (Old Holland, Sennelier, Winsor & Newton artists' colours); decent quality canvases, or watercolour or acrylic paper; gesso panels from Belle Arti, Italy. The indian ink I use is totally fadeproof; the grey ink is stated to be fadeproof but it is always advisable to keep artwork out of direct sunlight.

All of my artwork is unframed - the standard and deep canvases can be displayed on a wall simply by banging in two nails and just hooking the canvas over them. Smaller paintings look great on a desk or shelf - plastic-coated plate stands are an unobtrusive 'easel'.

I've tried to reproduce the paintings accurately in my photos, but please bear in mind that colours and tone may vary depending on the calibration of your computer screen. Also, different web browsers may display colours differently.

Photographing my scarves has presented similar problems of lighting. I've tried very carefully to show accurately how the scarf looks.

The buyer purchases only the original artwork. I retain all rights including the rights to reproduction.
