We started our shop in May of 2011. Gloria had previously sold dolls clothes at craft shows and I was just starting to make doll clothes for my daughter. Thankfully Gloria had kept many of her old sewing patterns! I got to work with those while she honed her crochet skills. It wasn't long before we had a shop full of fun items for Barbie!

In November 2011, I started to branch out with my patterns and began creating some of my own designs. I started simple - extending shirts to create dresses. I expanded with mix & matching fabrics. Then I started making strip dresses. Then I tried patchwork. These last two are my favorite styles.

We have been working on adding accessories to the outfits we create. Gloria is busy creating new hats & bags and I'm making necklaces, hair candy, and belts -- stay tuned to see them!

We also love to do craft fairs. We found out we are the only doll clothes sellers in our local market and so we've done well with these fairs. Because there are no other doll clothes sellers, we've also branched out to making American Girl sized clothing to sell locally. In January of 2013 we launched our line here in our Etsy shop!

Both Gloria and I are interested in creating custom designs and have made several unique items at the request of customers. Feel free to send us a message if you'd like us to make something just for you.

We've been asked "Why Barbie dolls?" The simple answer is we LOVE Barbie! She's the ultimate fashion icon. But truthfully, we just never really grew out of playing with dolls and doing this gives us a legitimate excuse to dress up and pose our dolls again. I love including my daughter in what I do and she often comes outside with me to take pictures of her dolls while I take pictures of my dolls. I can't wait until she's old enough to learn to sew!
