All beach glass jewelry in our collection is wire wrapped or drilled by the artist after it was hand picked from the shore of Lake Erie. Once the glass is harvested we clean it with dish soap and water, sort it by color and size and that is all. We do not tumble, grind, 'polish' or shape it in any way: Mother Nature's work is preserved faithfully. We use NO IMITATION 'SEA GLASS'. Each piece is one-of-a-kind; the perfect gift for the beach lover.
Most of the Beach glass that you see at Studio Dolores was collected from the Lake Erie Shore during the mid to late 1960's,70's and much of the 80's by Dolores Kreger and her children. The sheer size and quality of our beach glass is nearly unheard of today. Please enjoy these family heirlooms as much as we have..and still are!
