About BeautifulByCharlene

Me happy when a resin pour goes well. I can do about 12 pendants at one time.
I print the artwork on a color laser printer and must seal it carefully, even the edges of the paper to prevent bleed.
Tools and supplies for resin. After pouring the resin must cure for 3 days; dust and lint are the enemy!

Working with Resin

Ice Resin has been around a while and I will admit, I was a little scared to work with it at first because I had heard that it was temperamental and difficult to work with. Thanks to Deryn Mentock, I took the plunge and learned how to use it.

It can be temperamental and like anything, it takes time, patience and practice to understand its properties and how to work with it.

Resin has allowed me to incorporate imagery into my jewelry - whether that imagery is beautiful artwork developed by other Etsy artisans, my nephews crayon drawings, the scanned image of my beloved grandmother who passed many years ago, or photographs taken on a family vacation.

It indeed opens a new world of possibilities.

I've enjoyed making things and using my hands since I was a child. It has been exciting to expand my jewelry making to include resin as it opens up a new world of possibilities to me; ones that I can then offer to you.
