Old buttons hold a bit of history. Where they came from, who wore them and why did they end up separated from their original place remains a mystery. I travel around and look for these old buttons at yard sales, thrift stores, flea markets and sometimes in the trash bin. Discarded and left unwanted, I gather these unusual treasures and turn them into bracelets, brooches and earrings.

I also love to custom make a bracelet or brooch using your own buttons that have special meaning. Maybe they belonged to your mother, aunt or grandmother. Instead of keeping them all tucked away in a jar, box or drawer...why not wear your memorable buttons. Sweet memories should always be kept close at hand.
